IF there are indeed anchors not yet vaccinated, there could be various reasons. An individual may have had a severe allergic reaction to previous vaccines and their primary care physician has advised against this vaccine. An individual may have an autoimmune condition that their doctor feels the vaccine will trigger or enhance. The individual may be pregnant and has either chosen or has been advised to wait until giving birth before receiving the vaccine. The individual may be on medications that would require pausing while the body responds to the vaccine and the individual or their doctor feel it is best to stay the course of the medication right now. There are plenty more. Most people are fine getting the vaccine and most of us are lucky to have been able to receive it, but not everyone is able to and they are unfortunately usually in a vulnerable group.

Vaccination aside, could be a talent decision. Based on recent Facebook posts, would not be surprised if Bill Ritter, who is vaccinated, decided he is not willing to sit side by side yet.

ABC13 Houston anchor/reporter Steven Romo announced his engagement to FOX 26 and future Fox weather meteorologist Stephen Morgan on his social media pages. In the announcement Romo also said he’s moving to NYC soon and will be leaving ABC13.

When WBZ went from NBC to CBS, Danny Dark was still the VO for their news opens. Must have been a contractual thing despite the affiliate change.

WLS is running a version of it, too, and it's really weird. They promote Jeopardy! at 3:30, Eyewitness News at 5, and WNT at 5:30, completely skipping over the juggernaut 4pm news. That stacked rundown at the end of the spot looks ridiculous, making it seem like J! is 90 minutes, which any sane person knows isn't true.

Meanwhile here in Richmond, WWBT reporter/anchor Diane Walker is retiring after 41 years with the station. Friday (July 16th) is her last day. Diane Walker signing off after 41 years of being ‘On Your Side’ (nbc12.com)

Not surprising. It was going to happen eventually. I actually thought it would happen after Ellen ended her run next year, but this works too.

Another Hearst station is adding a 4pm-cast. WTAE will be launching the new 4pm show beginning Tuesday (7/6). Other changes to the station's lineup: Ellen is being moved from 4pm to 3pm. Tamron is being moved from 3pm to 10am. And Dr. Oz is being bumped from 10am to 1:07am after Nightline.

Mike Abinanti who runs a video production company posted a bunch of opening title masters from Pinnacle Productions on YouTube. How low do you think the upcoming morning program's ratings are going to be in relation to in the heat of the night & blue bloods reruns? Right now things don't look so good for the rest of there news programing. Yikes!

I wouldn’t be surprised if they move Rob, Marni (and Albert) to the upcoming morning show. It’s clear having an evening newscast isn’t working for them.
