Yeah, it's gonna be rough enough when each station starts adopting it, and 200 stations get individual posts on here. There is NO need to announce that a station has NOT yet made the change. Those posts will be hidden, and repeated infractions could be treated like spam.

Wow, that KCOP stuff is raaaaaaare. (They indeed changed their news brand and look later that year.) It also is loaded with strange presentation elements.

This January 1995 KCOP newscast must be from the tail end of the Real News format -- many of the CityTV-inspired elements were gone by this time: For comparison, here's KCOP at the height of its "CityTV phase":

Found this August 1984 newscast from WBNS in Columbus Also found it interesting that the newscast included a story on the Columbus-based Cranston Csuri effects firm handling the CGI intro at the start of the film for the Republican National Convention prior to President Reagan's acceptance speech at that convention in Dallas (and the anchor struggling to mask disappointment that CBS didn't show the film or at least the beginning)

Frankly, I think they're afraid to cut ties with the loyal viewers of Blue Bloods and Last Man Standing, as they get higher ratings and ad revenue than the news!

If he likes original NewsNation boss Jennifer Lyons, as she assembled the first team, I wouldn't rule him out of joining WBBM in Chicago, where she just took over. Ultimately, it depends on how deep of roots he planted here...in a year.

I think the new logo is half Vistaprint, half Vagisil and half Valvoline all in one. Even Vagisil's logo rips off the Valvoline colors.

Looks more like the old Vagisil logo to me.

Here's a thought... I like the sound of "CBS 6". It gives them a chance to escape all of the stigma of the years of "19" and their place in the basement. Since it's a UHF station with the PSIP of 6, it could be a chance of finally rebranding "WOIO". Almost like WBMA-LP was the source of the programming of ABC 33/40, WOIO's current signal could simply become another repeater of WLFM, just for branding purposes. WUAB could be as-is, shoehorned onto WOIO's signal with their existing "43" PSIP. Any other translators would relay like they've always done.
