I strongly disagree. WABC’s on-air look is awful - very disjointed and clunky although the color scheme isn’t terrible. I remember being shocked when I learned here that the package wasn’t built in-house. Their graphics package and set are arguably the worst in the market to me.5 points

I don't like the changes on KCBS & KCAL not one bit. The expansion, I'm alright with it (if the ratings are good). But KCAL CBS News Los Angeles... NO WAY! I wish the CBS (Television) News & Stations leaves the names as it is like CBS 2 News and KCAL 9 News. I would be alright for CBS 2 Morning News and KCAL 9 Morning News as well.3 points

It was a 'run for fun' station which barely made any market impact (it still carries YTA as a primary in 2022!), so it sounds like transmitter work/relocation needs to be done and it has half the signal of KSFY and KDLT. It's doubtful they get any of the big four, but we'll see if this works out (though with KELO's domination, it feels like a lost cause without any affiliation).1 point

I know it gets its share of critics #onhere, but I don't hate the current WABC look. It's simple (without being too simple), clean, and well-executed. Not everything has to be elaborate and splashy. (Of course, there was the NEWS YORK'S #1 NEWS incident, but...)1 point

As I mentioned in the WPIX thread, I was fortunate enough to visit LA a few weeks ago. Just like how KTLA has an advantage over WPIX in terms of looks, KABC had a beautiful clean graphics package that I wish WABC could adopt. It would make them watchable.1 point

I’m not sure if they’re planning on keeping it this way, but the branding looks and feels temporary. I’m not a fan of it either, but I suppose it’s necessary given that CBS airs a bunch of newscasts on two LA stations. I wouldn’t be surprised if it all becomes “CBS News Los Angeles” at some point.1 point
