  2. Looks like WKBD is about to return to the News scene, and their newscasts will be produced by WWJ. Question is, will their newscasts be called CBS News Detroit or will it be called WKBD News, powered or streaming on CBS News Detroit??

  3. I love KDKA’s newscasts, but it’s time for them to change their mics. They are still showing the old logo. Same with KPIX.

  4. The Media and Democracy Project has filed a petition against WTXF's license renewal, citing Fox News Channel's settlement with Dominion Voting Systems over lies made by FNC hosts about Dominion's operations, as well as the cable channel's coverage of the 1/6/21 riots. Featuring testimony from former FBC executive Preston Padden, the petition impugns Fox Corporation's appropriateness to hold broadcast licenses and takes issue with Fox News-produced national footage that has aired on the station, but it does not bring up any material produced in Philadelphia. It is implied that the group will file other petitions against the rest of FTS as their renewals come up.

  5. Is this the first former member of Morning Express to have an on-air presence again? I know someone predicted here he'd land at FOX Weather. If so, great move on their part.

  7. former HLN morning meteorologist Bob VanDillen starts Mon July 10th on FOX Weather. No word what shows he will host, but I anticipate changes coming to the daytime lineup. Perhaps he gets the mid-day slot along side Kendall? https://press.foxnews.com/2023/07/fox-weather-signs-meteorologist-bob-van-dillen

  8. Here is a still for the promo of Kaitlin's new show. CNN Philippines also has a show called The Source. It seems like the US version will be similar to that of its sister in the Philippines.

  10. It seems Pacific Time takes a little more liberty with things because of the delay, yet keeps primetime mostly on Eastern's schedule (aside from some "early prime" experiments over the years) So basically Eastern Time is the only time zone that regularly airs network newscasts at 6:30 local time in most markets?

  15. This has nothing to do with ability or training, this is a cost-cutting measure, plain and simple.

  16. No offense, but I have no clue where you’re getting that idea. They’re gutting and centralizing creative services to cut costs; they aren’t going to eliminate positions only to fill them up again with new people. It’s got nothing to do with some guy getting the font wrong at a particular station; as others mentioned, the people being let go are more than qualified for their positions.

  17. This is a very naive take on the situation. The folks who were let go were incredibly talented. @Geoffrey is correct in that they’re keeping a select few, the only new hire is the vp/group design. Also - what a shitty move, not promoting from within for that role with a very qualified pool of candidates.

  18. We also have to remind ourselves: Edith Waterman is turning 100 in September... I'm pretty sure this had a huge reason behind the decision.
