  2. They could call it “Space City Home Sports Entertainment” and resurrect the legacy HSE brand…

  3. My brain cannot comprehend that Ernie is 80. He looks fantastic.

  4. Totally agree. Sadly, there really aren't that many on-air talent left that even remotely have the connection/association with the KGTV of the late 80s-early 00s when they were on top of their game. This whole celebration seems like it was done in haste and on the cheap. Let's get a couple of sound bites, some b-roll and a few cheap decorations/logos and call it a day.

  5. I like the overall motif, but the wideness of all of the fonts makes me feel like I'm looking at a 4:3-designed graphic stretched to 16:9.

  7. For what it’s worth, this is actual reported news… not fanboy speculation that I believe that particular forum is for. That said, I’m sure no one on here will be able to resist adding their own ideas.

  9. There are so many things better than having to resort to Byron Allen for a NETWORK timeslot..... Color Bars. Test patterns. Tower Cams. A black screen with soothing sounds. Anything readily in the public domain. Infomercials (of any kind) Any 1980's first-run syndication (bonus points for She's the Sheriff or Small Wonder) I give TV as we know it until the end of the year unless someone reaches a deal. And Stephen Colbert better have a long beard like Letterman did during the last strike!

  10. The way these channels have been usurped by Disney+ and Hulu pretty much makes them obsolete. Consumers can watch these shows without commercials, visual clutter and all of the other tom-foolery that make up your average basic cable channel. Not to mention the programming blocks are pretty much grouped for the DVR to pick them up or (heaven forbid) someone to binge-watch in real time....

  11. Reportedly, there will also be one exclusively for LA and SF. The NY/PHL episode aired at 6:30 PM ET on both affiliates, with the latter preceded by a special introduction from the host of "The ClassH Room" which normally airs in that slot on WTXF. Listings had the episode listed as another airing of that day's regular A run episode.

  12. RE the Altitude/Rockies deal, the Montforts would be signing their own death warrants. The Rockies have chronically sucked because they refuse to invest in the team, although they'll spend so much money on the Coors Field. If they sign their rights with the Altitude (Kroenke Sports and Entertainment) the Waltons (of which the Kroenke family are members) will put pressure on the MLB to acquire the team. At that point, all Denver teams will be control by the Waltons. Also, please keep in mind that the Waltons will be posturing soon too move Empower Field out to Aurora Colorado. Denver won't pay for a new one and the Waltons will want one.

  14. Official Disney PR. They'll no longer carry a number of networks whose content was already on D+ and Hulu anyways, so put Freeform, FXX/FXM, Disney Junior/XD and Nat Geo Wild on deathwatch as far as other providers. In return, Spectrum customers will eventually get D+ and ESPN+ included in their subs and the ability to have an ESPN-free cable package.
