And they are open about it being a temporary home, so they’re not trying to be all cagey about it.3 points

Hello everyone! I've been thinking about doing this post, and sharing this with you all for a while now and so now I am doing it. I've mentioned this once or twice I think on the forum before but I am the founder of my school's news program, I am also in charge of editing, as well as doing our graphics, which I've made myself like the many concepts I've posted on here. We started the program late last school year, here is our first episode. This is our first episode of the school year when we started to implement a new graphics package And this is our most recent episode, since our first episode of the year we slighted edited the graphics and started to use a green screen again. In addition we also do a monthly edition in Spanish. I would most appreciate any feedback y'all could give us on the overall product, from both graphics packages, the sets, and the stories from the collective experience's across the industry from the overall way we do things, etc as we try our best to put out a professional product out each week, as when you look online for other high school news programs, they are not this professional or as concise IMO. Also, we are considering a rebrand in the coming weeks as one of the challenges we have faced is being confused with our school's weekly newsletter which is of the same name.1 point

@Weeters I did reach out to WGTA via Facebook and they informed me that their association ended with Newsnet in 2023. They stated "No, we don't air the news at nine anymore. It was produced by Newsnet but the partnership ended a year ago." They just need to get Titan to update their listings. I knew WPGA ended the agreement when Gray took over and replaced it with a newscast from WANF.1 point

I would imagine Gray would start their own regional sports subchannel in Pelicans territory since they have a station in every market that it covers. This would include the entire state of Louisiana, Coastal and South Mississippi and Mobile.1 point

Scripps did Candance wrong along with Esabella I don't get why they let both go and in Candance's case why did she return after maternity leave and then let go 2 weeks later I just don't get that. Couldn't Candance sue Scripps for letting her go like that.1 point

I am not sure why people keep citing frequent preemptions because of the Florida Panthers deal. Most games start at 7 PM and are over either right at 10 PM or slightly before. So there should be a few preemptions if any at all.1 point

Hello everyone! Preparations are underway for the new school year! Staring the first episode, we're debating a new graphics package! (See attached for the new intro). Also, we're updating the set! Gone is the bulky video walls we had, in the coming weeks we will be painting some walls in our studio green screen green, allowing us to add in virtual set extensions and graphics! In addition, we'll use them to mimic actual video walls, and use them sort of like CNN News Central and the CBS Evening News, with a bit of Europe as well. The wall with those fake LED panels is the one that will be painted (with those panels being disregarded) along with one you can't see in the pictures, together, the two walls that will be painted are at a corner, the corner opposite of the desk. On the other side of the desk is the one wall not be painted that the viewer will see. The logo and stand was there last year but the college banners are new and everyone has been supportive of it, it adds a bit of depth and distinctiveness to set! Very excited for these changes to continue to unravel and hope you like them! Newsroom 24-25 Intro (FINAL).mp41 point

Press release for Mike Seidel and Ari Sarsalari joining FOX Weather full-time. Two big gets from TWC https://press.foxnews.com/2024/08/fox-weather-hires-veteran-meteorologist-mike-seidel-after-more-than-30-year-stint-at-the-weather-channel1 point

That's a HUGE get for the network. If they needed anyone to help up their presence at the network, its anyone from TWC and luckily, that's him.1 point

Well well well, look who showed up at Fox Weather, starting today... Yep, that's Mike Seidel, who was laid off from TWC back in May. Today was his first day appearing with Fox Weather. Stephen and Kendall welcomed him to Fox Weather, also mentioning that Mike Seidel has been given the title of "Storm Specialist" with the network.1 point

Nextar and Tribune before them have always had good Fox looks. This continues the trend.1 point

Really good looking set! Nearly thought it was Tegna based on the quality. But in all fairness Nexstar does have some good looking stations.1 point

Hello everyone, here with our latest edition of "Magnet Newsroom", our election special for student council. Very excited we got Russ Spencer of WAGA to be our announcer for this coverage. In addition, why is the episode so long? We got an interview with our superintendent this week so glad we could get that out before the holiday season (he has never done a local news outlet interview, even when some particular instances arise in the district) and for our students, a special holiday message from all teachers/staff/admin. Very proud of this product, as it is the last episode we will do of 2023, our first year in existence, kind of brings everything full circle. All feedback is always welcome! Thank you so much? For now, I would say so. Because of all the work that goes into each episode, we can't do them live but regardless that's kind of what we're looking at. In addition, YouTube is the best way (for now) to ensure parents and families are able to see it. One of our major problem's we've encountered is increasing viewership as it's up to teacher's discretion on if they show it in class, and a bunch other factors.1 point

Months after TVNewsCheck briefly suspended daily site updates and feature articles, on Monday (August 6), Future plc announced it will cease publishing the print editions and daily newsletters of venerable broadcasting industry magazines Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News effective September 30, after 93 and 34 years, respectively. Future’s Next TV will relaunch its website as a single portal combining reporting from all three brands in the fall (B&C and MCN already have subpages on the website), and will continue distributing its “SmartBrief” newsletter to cover streaming, broadcasting and pay-TV industry stories.0 points
