With all due respect to Mr. Allen, he needs to sit his arse down and reflect on his crumbling media empire rather than trying to cozy up with CBS.

is it me or does every host era for the CBS Evening News get shorter? The duo of John Dickerson and Maurice DuBois might be, the shortest host era that CBS Evening News ever had, even shorter than Jeff Glor.

There also needs to be time before the launch for producers to update their master rundowns with the new templates and the directors having to make adjustments in whatever automation systems the control room uses as well. There was probably a rehearsal or two that week (maybe). Lots of prep work involved to launch beyond the graphics team rendering out new opens.

Lots of these bug implementations are sloppy and poorly executed. Can we talk about this? If you drop the unnecessary additional boxes behind the logo and just float the calls/number/peacock over the existing noggi, it's a little less terrible and the channel branding could even be slightly larger.

At least with someone like Perry Sook, he's just LARPing as a media mogul. Not only is Byron Allen LARPing as a wanna-be media mogul, he's been trying to be a comedian his whole career as well....

I find the show better with Mika and Joe in NY (or alternatively in DC) rather than their Florida studio. I think they may realize their meeting with trump was for naught, he is worse than his previous self and they aren't holding back anymore. Nicolle Wallace also has returned to the studio and that aids her interaction with guests (not to mention the quality of the lighting).

Are you surprised? It is no different than getting your product on an endcap at Walmart or Target... Everything's location in a retail store is carefully planned, and usually negotiated. Pay the company more money, get better positioning on the shelf. Is it fair, right, just? Of course not. But alas one of the benchmarks of capitalism

I concur to social media being the problem. Especially when we have social media owners manipulating the algorithm to prefer their own political views in addition to the LA Times and the Washington Post also being guilty of said manipulation. Also the hypocrisy is, apologies for my language, bullshit. They made a big deal about Joe/Kamala's flaws and yet gave Trump a free pass despite his health and policy issues. They didn't care about the American people, they just wanted money in their pockets.

WKBW is not known for much wins, if any at all. However, they do have this small win here... a team together for 10 years. For Katie Morse and Ed Drantch, its been that way on Good Morning Buffalo for the last decade. This is from the Buffalo Broadcasters Association on FB:

Fox decided to work in some of its NASCAR graphics for the (rain delayed) game at Bristol Motor Speedway, although they didn't go as far as to make a custom scoreboard too.

While I agree most Americans don't want bipartisan journalism, CBS News isn't going far right because it's a good business strategy for CBS News, they are being forced to go far right because it's a good business decision for Paramount despite harming CBS News. They want to buy Warner Brothers Discovery and need Government approval. Look how rare it is for FNC programming to appear on the FOX network, it's not a good business decision for the FOX network or the FOX stations in markets like LA, NY, Chicago, etc. to air right wing news. Paramount is willing to destroy CBS News and turn it into right wing propaganda to stay in the good graces of a far right dictator. This is not CBS News trying to challenge FNC & Newsmax for the MAGA audience, it's Paramount turning CBS News into a right wing propaganda outlet knowing the result will be even further ratings declines for all CBS News programming.
