  1. This actually pisses me off considering this is the first test since replacing Harry Porterfield & Roseanne Tellez. I mean it was definitely (more than) time for Harry to go (sorry), but I'm still furious Roseanne no longer has an anchor spot. But the reality is, Channel 2 has always done well at 11, ever since Mary Ann Childers & Jay Levine fronted it starting in 1998. Maybe even since the Joan Lovett days, when they first began having news at 11, moving the noon news an hour earlier in 1997 when Hank Price was running things. Channel 2 was the first station in town to ever have news at 11. Now it's a crowded field. But I'm pretty sure their strength there has everything to do with their lead-in (The Price is Right) and NOTHNG to do with the detestable Lionel Moise & Erin Kennedy. Oh my God, those two. Oh. My. God.

  3. Came across this sales promo spot from Sinclair9, whoops WTOV9 in the big old Wheeling-Steubenville market. Having lived and worked in that market wtov9 to me has very blah news coverage. Anyways. Complete with Sinclair graphics and music.

  8. What's that name? http://www.lex18.com/story/27621152/lex18-news-anchor-general-assignment-reporter-kristen-pflum Hmm...a name change as we move to the big city? I googled her (new) name, looking for a demo reel, and most of the results were for a Playboy model/porn star. Already off to a good start.

  10. I hope this works out for them. WTVR is a great station (living in Fredericksburg I get DC and RVA channels) and I think if this is promoted right, it could impact FOX5 eventually.

  11. It's been heavily-speculated here, but now it's official. TVNewsCheck posted minutes ago that WDCW will have a new 10pm newscast beginning April 18th. The new 10pm newscast will be produced out of Richmond's WTVR, with reporters & multimedia journalists being based out of DC. The anchor will be WTVR's 6 & 11pm anchor Candace Burns.
