  1. 7's push alerts aren't going so well... lots of typos and one beginning with NEW:... not exactly stellar stuff...

  2. Now that they are down to Dick and Alex, they really have no choice but to find someone fast. Either look for Christian to fill in for Dick on the weekends or a lot of solo anchoring going on. All the best to Rob during his recovery. Jeff will likely continue in his role as an in-studio anchor with Mike (like Peggy before him) doing more reporting than anchoring. I don't think Jeff has ever done anything outside the studio, so I wouldn't expect that to change. Peggy may even be called upon to help than they originally planned.

  3. Lest we forget the 2001 version of CNN Headline News... Sad thing, this is more worthwhile than the "Forensic Files"-fest it has become. Just like this classic KBBL-TV promo. https://g.redditmedia.com/1w0n6DOGjJzhh_P2ar8B0PMsIfoG8fT1KpMqiELLnYA.gif?w=480&fm=mp4&mp4-fragmented=false&s=575ba92ab3f13879732b9b3df9cd8518 "You're watching Channel 6, Springfield's home for Krusty the Clown, now on 3 times a day. Because at Channel 6, we got nothin' else!"

  6. Longtime anchor of the Nightly Business Report Paul Kangas passed away on Tuesday, at the age of 79. Will always remember him for his signature sign-off at the end of the broadcast. Video courtesy of lakesidepark2112 from YT EDIT 3/2/17: He're a full write-up obit from the Herald.

  8. It's extremely bland at best. MG (LIN specifically) has several spectrum guzzlers in the Hampton Roads, Grand Rapids, and Austin, with all those Class As.

  9. With the announcement this week of his impending semi-retirement, here's a quick promo of an 27 year-old Bob Costas from when he called 19 Bulls games on WGN in 1979. He would join NBC the following year, and the rest is history. http://www.fuzzymemories.tv/?c=786

  10. I wanna cry after seeing that picture. I miss CNN Headline News and that format so much. That's the one channel I wish it went back to its original format.

  11. That would've been my guess, too. Anna and Corey were moved to GDC in 2010, and she left in 2013, and I know the set was only used within that timeframe. By the time Anna exited, they were back in the main set.
