  1. I believe WTVD's Don Schwenneker made an account here at one point while he was at WBBM. It's great to have you here!

  2. I just noticed this account is Blaine Stewart from WTKR! You worked at one of the most legendary stations with a roster of legendary talent. I'd say it was a popular graphics package back then. I know WDAY Fargo/WDAZ Grand Forks had something like this too.

  3. I don't mean to go off topic (as I will here) but I can think of at least 15 legends right off the bat at WWL over its history. I think WWL had more legends than any other station in America at one point, literary. I mean... J. Michael Early (former VP and GM; giant in CBS and broadcasting) Phil Johnson (former ND; another giant) Garland Robinette Angela Hill Dennis Woltering Eric Paulsen Andre Trevigne SallyAnn Roberts Bill Elder (!) Don Westbrook Dave Barnes Nash Roberts Carl Arredondo Mike Hoss Jim Henderson Meg Farris Bill Capo Frank Davis Hoda Kotb John Snell (now at WVUE) Yeah. Don't mean to go off topic, but... yeah.

  4. Fantastic! Speaking of Phoenix stations covering California earthquakes, tonight might me a good time to repost this -- KTVK's coverage of the 1989 Bay Area Earthquake with the director's track:

  5. Here’s some KTSP one month before the call change, during the Northridge earthquake: Coincidentally, CA was struck with another quake today.

  6. Good news! Most dead link videos in this thread should be working again, as the FuzzyMemories YouTube account has been reinstated, assuredly without the heavily-copyrighted material that got it removed, in the first place. One of their first posts upon return is ol' Skippy introducing a package on 4th of July safety.

  7. It’s a lot cleaner than previous package. However, I’m seeing a lack of creativity, I wonder what the open will look like to be honest. They shine there when it comes to new graphics.

  8. I always wondered what happened to Patti Suarez after she left KWTV. Thanks for sharing!

  9. More WSPA from their Millennium 3 era that I've found! This time an actual open with the late Chris Clausen as the V/O.
