Veronica De La Cruz has been off the air since the pandemic started in March, then she came back in July and was last seen in August. She’s an avid tweeter and Instagram poster. She hasn’t posted anything on Instagram since she went MIA and off the grid. However, she did tweet about Ruth Badger Ginsberg’s passing. KPIX did air a promo with all the anchors and reporters for Election night and her photo was up there. Hopefully she will return. *crosses fingers*

Haven’t seen the open yet but looks like they went blue in the mornings and dropped the yellow in the lower thirds and tweaked the Good Day LA bug

Starting September 14, KRON 4 is launching an hour newscast at 3pm. It looks like they want to compete with KGO’s 3pm 30 minute Interactive Newscast before World News Tonight where viewers connect thru Facebook Live called “Getting Answers,” discussing topics like a Coronavirus, Wildfires, Education, Unemployment, etc. Its not a normal newscast like KABC does at 3pm so no weather and sports. Strictly interviews and Answers. This is a big jump for KRON since they are finally adding more newscasts. Hopefully a 1pm Newscast would be nice down the road since their sister Nexstar stations KTLA and KSWB have a 1pm show.

Multiple reports stating Regis Philbin has passed at 88. he started his TV carrer at KGTV in San Diego before moving to LA and NYC.

the best part is that she saw and recognized mother who sent in a request with the photo of her and her son at the bus stop while she was on her jog around the neighborhood.

Dion Lim had to get permission from KGO management to give one to an ABC7 fan who had a medical condition.

KPIX turned on the Bold on their lower thirds. Not sure if it’s an upgrade and prepping for the new graphics. “Zoo Funding” was the before look.

She was the jack of all trades. Sports, Anchoring, Reporting and she was last doing weather for the afternoons and evenings.

Tabitha Lipkin leaves KSWB to become Morning Host for NBCLX in Dallas.

KPIX has been handling the National stream of CBSN for the last several weeks. One of the reporters announced on their Instagram that next week they will go back locally to CBSN Bay Area. Not sure if CBS is getting back to normal or if another O&O will be taking over the National Stream.

If we throw KPIX into the mix, I’d like to nominate Veronica De La Cruz If she wasn’t on leave, she would be good for representing KPIX since she’s done network level anchoring Early Today on NBC before going to KPIX. Second choice, I’d go with Allen Martin since he’s a good newsreader and to the point. Ken Bastida, don’t get me wrong, he is good too.

Wow KUSI until 11am. I’m impressed lol i grew up watching Rory and Bill on the weekends from 8-9, so it’s nice to see KGTV and KNSD brought back the weekend morning newscasts. KGTV follows KGO’s schedule (5-7am) but they recently changed their Saturday morning schedule from 8 am to 9am now so on the weekends is 9-10am

KUSI is like the only station with a weekend morning newscast or did they bring back NBC from 8-9am again. im surprised FOX 5 hasn’t launched a weekend morning show.

Len Kiese mentioned on his Facebook that he is leaving WFTV and headed to KPIX to anchor the Morning and Noon show. He replaces Kenny Choi who will go to reporting duties.

Now you can throw Denver into the mix. Are they just spinning the wheel and choosing a random O&O for The Evening News? So far I’ve seen KCBS, KTVT and now KCNC.
