A big find from the Tampa/St. Petersburg market: WTSP from December 11, 1994, promoting the "Big Switch" from ABC to CBS. There's also a WTOG newscast from 1991 later in this video:

WEVU Ch. 26, the ABC affiliate in southwest Florida (now WZVN "ABC 7") 11:00 newscast from 1988:

Part of a WTSP 11:00 newscast from 1999 with Sue Zelenko, Reginald Roundtree, Dick Fletcher and Al Keck. I felt like WTSP, at this point, was kinda falling behind the other stations in the market, IMO. 

Most of a WTVN-Ch.6 newscast from 1987 and part of "World News Tonight". What's interesting is at about 31:00, there is a spot discussing WTVN's pending sale from Taft Broadcasting to another owner. WTVN was spun off to Anchor Media, which was founded by several former executives of Gulf Broadcasting and WTSP.

WTSP news promo and commercial breaks from 12/31/88. That summer, the station debuted a new studio set and graphics, but kept the "Action News" moniker and theme music they'd been using since 1983. A few months after this, in April 1989, a computer espionage scandal rocked the market, resulting in the arrest of WTSP's news director and assistant news director, who had formerly been employed by WTVT and still had access to WTVT's computer network

In 1987, KFMB's Loren Nancarrow did a story about the Los Angeles TV news ratings war and the type of stories being aired:

i don't think this has been posted. It's WSB from 1974. The main anchor is David Sisson and the title of newscast is "Newsroom". Surprisingly, they are also using "MCTYW" here:

Somebody must have found some footage. 

WTSP sports director Al Keck in 1989. WTSP was still "Action News" at this point but would become "NewsCenter 10" in Sept. of '89:

WFLA sportscast from 1989 with popular but polarizing sportscaster Chris Thomas:

From 1988, rare clip of sportscaster Steve Talbot at WTSP. He was only with the station about 14 months and was replaced by Al Keck. AFAIK, this was his last TV job. 

In 1986, WXFL (WFLA) was in third place in the Tampa Bay ratings wars. They were using the slogan "Helping You Win!" as featured here:

Was hoping to find a clip on YT but nothing turned up. There is a mid 70's promo that was proof they used the "Eyewitness News" moniker.

Did KFMB in San Diego use "The One & Only" by Klein &? I was watching the tribute to Michael Tuck and heard this nugget at :39. (Listen closely!)

Another Bob Hite contribution-WFLA from somewhere around '77 or '78. The anchor at the beginning is Bob Koop, who had a short tenure at WFLA.

Meteorologist Jeff Booth is gone from WBNS in Columbus. Also, meteorologist MacKenzie Bart has also left the station for WJW.

At 23:25 is an ancient WFLA news slide. Probably dates to the early '70s.

A familiar face has resurfaced at WTSP.

Dave Wagner, who last was an anchor/reporter for WTSP way back in 1999, has apparently returned to the station. His first stint with the station was from 1987-1999, and was the interim male evening anchor after John Wilson's departure in 1993.

The music dates to at least 1980. They also used "Classical Gas" in the '70s not sure which version.
