Judy's trying to give Tracy Butler's two-day weather extravaganza a run for its money. She'll be back on tonight at 4, 5 and 6 after doing the morning show. Hosea must've skipped town early, as Alan Krashesky did WCL this morning. Ron will likely be solo tonight at 10.

WPVI is the WLS of 2 years ago. They had 4 logo variations in regular rotation. As is the case with any station, at some point it begins to look ridiculous and unprocessional. As was the case with ABC7, I think the only way 6ABC settles on a single logo is if they debut new graphics, and at 3.5 years, it might not be that far off. I'll be honest, WPVI's graphics have not aged well.

Not particularly. Some of the little nuances of the broadcast have changed, but nothing significant. They've even become comfortable enough in the branding that the 'ABC7' is occasionally dropped in favor of just 'Eyewitness News' in some promos, which is nice, because the full title can be quite wordy.

I'm almost guessing that this is only going to be on Friday nights? If so, it's clear where they got this model from...WGN's Sunday night "Instant Replay". It's been on forever, and it's always been a standalone show that airs at 9:40, following THE CONCLUSION of the 9 o'clock news.

Maybe to the first one, and I doubt the second. In the promo, there sure is a lot of Josh, and some of Sam. Is 'Talk Philly' as craptacular as I would expect/assume? 'Cause it just looks awful.

That's the thing, I didn't touch this. It was cut off exactly as you see here. So yeah, it needs work, but I kinda like the idea of what WLS is doing here.
