  1. NBC5 is kinda weird, in that you don't see many retirements (like 7 & 9), and very few firings (like 2 & 32). People just kind of leave. Personnel stagnates, so many are blocked from rising up the chain, which has led to more frequent exits, unlike the other 2 top tier stations, where people stay until they die. It's not a bad way to operate, but it just strikes me as odd. - - - Unrelated, I never saw a mention, but have not seen any job postings, either. Is Pete Sack now official on weekend evenings?
  2. 1. That post you responded to was from 4 months ago. 2. Jovana has only one N. The correct spelling was right there in the quoted tweet. 3. Brandi Hitt replaced him alongside Leslie, unless something's changed, which should be cited in your post, if so.
  3. Hey y'all, how about we just wait and see who handles the show in the coming weeks. No need for wish lists of stations and anchors.
  4. I think she's about to be spending even more time at home.
  5. She had a quick live shot from Wrigley last night, on-screen for not even a minute, so yeah, I'd count her anchoring as an official debut.
  6. Because not every station is carrying it.
  7. It's being offered to stations during the weeks that Wheel is in reruns (this being the 2nd non-consecutive week).
  8. Quality station, excellent product, but damn, they're getting so bloated. By my count, this swells their weekday anchor roster to 11. That's insane, no matter how many hours they produce.
  9. I mean, he had the surgery on March 4th, and was pegged to be out 4-6 weeks, with today being the 5-week mark.
  10. Skilling is returning to the airwaves next Monday, and he should debut with the best home set-up in the market.
  11. Speaking of weekend evenings, has anyone seen Dick Johnson lately? Anytime I've tuned into the news then, Michelle has been solo, and not mentioning that he's off.
  12. There's something to be said about access to tests, but how about we don't question any diagnoses? Who the heck are we to discount someone's claim, especially right now?
  13. This.
  14. ...which is the standard Nexstar election graphics. I think it all looks very nice. WGN's look is usually hit or miss on election night.
  15. WMAQ, as well, within the station group.
  16. In a continuing quest for sports coverage and lighter content, Mark Giangreco is dusting off some old bits he used to do in the 90's. Welcome back to Make Mark Do Your Job. https://abc7chicago.com/entertainment/video-vault-make-mark-do-your-job-is-back/6019582/
  17. If this is for the long haul, the morning crew is ready.
  18. They had this arrangement at 5, too. WFLD's team was separated at 9, and while WLS banished weather and sports from the desk at 5, keeping the anchors together, everyone has been dispersed to other parts of the set at 10.
  19. https://forums.tvnewstalk.net/topic/17598-abc-news-tv3/ It appears that GMA Weekend will debut from the new space tomorrow morning. And with the rollout of normal usage on the horizon, this is probably as good a time as any (better late than never, I guess) to move the new studio discussion to its own thread.
  20. Controversial opinion: I don't hate the graphics on WBNS. The theme, yeah, no, but it looks good enough.
  21. I saw him late last week.
  22. I guess a little preview at 10:26 is enough to appease those that may not like the elimination of sports at 10.
  23. So, in the end, she is an actual part of the morning team, as a contributing anchor.
  24. Also of note, yes, they did update the midday open, and Julie Unruh took a turn at the desk today. Let's see if Dina can break Stacey Baca's record of rotating co-anchors (like 10, I think) during a vacancy.
