I agree. She's decent on reporting, but I usually turn it off or on mute if she's anchoring or entertainment anchoring.

Pedro Rivera is leaving KTLA on January 8 after a short run. The announcement was made on the Morning News today. Sounds like it was his choice as he has family on the east coast. Pedro was brought in from Sacramento (KTXL Fox 40) to co-anchor the 4pm and 5pm shows. He was later moved to the weekend Morning News to stabilize that show after the Mark Mester/Lynette Romero fiasco. He still anchored 3x/wk at 4pm and 5pm. Not sure how KTLA will fill the hole. Will they still have the new person anchor the weekend morning news and 4p/5p 3x/wk OR have one permanent male anchor on weekend mornings and a permanent anchor at 4pm and 5pm with Samantha Cortese and Cher Calvin?

KNBCs refreshed studio is now up and running. No big changes. A few new large monitors and it appears the station has ditched the augmented reality for weather.

Going to play devil's advocate here. I have seen these type of graphics before. I feel that ABC News was trying to convey that the correspondent was reporting out of the ABC News "New York" bureau/HQ. I don't think it was meant to be misleading.

Same for KNBC. Can't speak for the other dayparts. I have only seen the talent intros on Today in LA when I'm in the gym at 4am.

SIAP....Dani Ruberti joins KCBS/KCAL from Fox13 Utah. I had my TV on KCAL and looked up at the weather. I was shocked to see Dani as I know she was popular in SLC. I was unaware she had SoCal roots. The link below says she will cover WX at 6, 8, 10 and 11. It will be a palate cleanser/transition from the late afternoon NFL games to Sunday Night Football during the fall. Viewers will finish their games on CBS/FOX, take a quick peek at KTLA for quick local headlines/weather for the week then off to NBC for SNF.

I would assume that Jeff is the odd man out. He anchors the 5, 8 and 10. Those are the shows Chauncy is taking over. Juan has been there since the mid/late 1990s...he anchors the 4pm and 9pm. -

I think Sam might be featured as a third chair anchor type. Think Sal Castaneda at KTVU. He does traffic in the earlier shows, but is a featured contributor to their 9am hour. Sounds like Dani will handle the 10am weather duties.

As far as the sucessor for Welker on Saturday today- my best guess would be someone from NBC News Now or NBC News Daily. Those individuals seem to serve as minor league players cutting their teeth until a big network opportunity comes up.

San Diego is supposed to have a MLS team in the coming years as well. Sounds like a good time for the marketing people to arrange a partnership.

PIX, KTLA and WGN to a lesser extent have had free reign on their sets. Will KUSI get the traditional Nexstar set in a corner like big market brother KRON or will they get to do something original. I really like the chill vibe that Fox5SDs set has.
