  1. Any of you guys notice that WINK now has some L3 graphics jacking off CNN?
  2. I can understand because of the bright yellow L3 top, and how we're used to a black top, but I disagree. I can read them fine.
  3. I loved the previous look as well; the simplicity and use of black and yellow was what sold me on the concept. I don't like the clunkiness of the logo graphic, but I do like the color. I'm never used to change either; unless I'm told about it; that's when I'm preparing for it. I understand if this came after the Super Bowl if CBS was broadcasting it, but not in this case.
  4. I think the logo is great and has aged very well. I don't think it needs an update either, Maybe not for the foreseeable future. The modernized logo does look nice (sans NBC Peacock), but I agree with the decision to change back, as I like the original slightly more. I'd at least like it a little less glossy.
  5. ^Meh. It's fine, and not that bad an idea. If someone as CBS suggested the thought of doing a SB promo for This Morning too, they'd jump at that chance. Now that would be a great idea. It needs the viewers it deserves.
  6. Me too. The theme sounds simple and light, yet packs a heavy punch Plus, it's really catchy and not at all boring. I find this the best theme of the three morning shows.
  7. It's a new year...and I'm ready for what's coming!!!
  8. Such a horrible year for her. I send my condolences to Diane and her family.
  9. He has such a beautiful baby. I ope he gets as much bonding time as possible with the little guy and his partner. Congratulations again to the happy family.
  10. I agree, Craig is fantastic on the weekends, and would be fantastic on weekdays too. He'll be a great successor to G.
  11. If this would happen: I think this would be a good thing for them. They have the resources, segments and correspondents for a third hour. and will definitely make GMA #1 against the rest of Today. Meanwhile, about The View, these damn changes on-camera just can't stop. Now off-camera? They need to stop before it ends up a show about gaming, tabloids and occasional politics co-produced by IGN and Disney Channel. (Yeah, I'm over-exaggerating, but unless changes can happen this way.)
  12. It seems like they waited for his term to begin so they can throw in a ton of stories at him to cover, and he does it so well. And in great timing too.
  13. Continuing the ratings story, here's a report by TVN about WN win being overturned involving Dan Harris...and CollegeHumor founder Ricky Van Veen. You won't believe how Van Veen comes in in this. http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/overturned-evening-news-win-gets-personal_b242157
  14. Hi, Hazim! Welcome to the TVNT fold. We're very happy to have newcomers join our growing family, and you seem really perfect for it. These vids you shared are really good, and your Twitter icon looks really cool I'm also 20 and love broadcasting and this site is a perfect one to talk about it. On behalf of everyone here, I hope you enjoy your time here.
  15. Loving what I see of the new NBC10 set!
  16. Just saw the tail-end before SNL, and boy the windows look really nice! Can't wait to see the rest next week.
  17. I'm not sure but moving to either an earlier timeslot or another timeslot. I'm moving toward the former, because all the other stations are filled at this point.
  18. https://twitter.com/DanMannarino/status/517671302891847680 From a post on his Twitter page, Dan Mannarino has announced that he will fill in for Kori Chambers on the Morning News with Sukanya Krishnan tomorrow and Monday.
  19. Oh God, I hate how that thing looks on air. So cheesy and looks like it was put together in a day with not much room for editing or improvement. Plus the camera angle and lighting looks really tacky. The camera is probably one of those small cameras stations use for reports in their newsrooms so it can fit here, but still.
  20. Just saw this a few minutes ago. Makes a reference to "Good Evening America", a name we throw around in ABC News threads.
  21. WELCOME BACK, WORLD NEWS TONIGHT.
  22. If I may add my two cents for this (wow, I haven't used this in a long time): I loved World News Tonight when I was a kid, especially when Peter Jennings was at the desk (and because Channel 6 was the place to be in my family from 4-8). The name was iconic and recognizable, the theme was commanding and astounding (and also iconic), and Peter's reign was astonishing, breathtaking and cool (using the network letters for the words; and yes, iconic too.) so I'm so happy the "Tonight" part of the name has returned to give the iconic name it's return. The logo looks great with it. I used to hate it because of the unrecognizable and strange thing behind the name that's used on the desk. The "Tonight" part in the name actually makes it look better. I've watched David Muir anchor before. I think he'll do very well as main anchor. and... I'm using the open as my wallpaper soon (if not now).
  23. I don't know if it has been mentioned already or not, but do you guys think new graphics will come in when David makes his debut, or will they be the same as those during the last of Diane's reign?
  24. Maybe, but I hope not; I love the show as it is. I'm one whose okay to change, but this one I might not like a lot.
  25. I watch the show a lot, and I've never seen anyone else doing "headline duties" before. Usually, it's Charlie or one of the ladies doing the "Headlines from Around the Globe" segment, if that's what you mean.
