  1. I think that's because TM makes it a given thing not to have weather segments (at least especially during weekdays) (unless of a severe national disaster-- snowstorms, El Ninos, hurricanes, what have you. But that would be awesome, though.
  2. It's about time. The current(-but-not-for-long) set clearly aged terribly after all these years. I loved it when it debuted, but after all this time, I've wished for it to be gone ever since. Agreed. Their's aged even worse.
  3. Thus wasn't mentioned earlier but Soledad O'Brien is filling in for Gayle this week. I think she's doing a great job.
  4. Just so you know, I was being sarcastic in the first part. I can understand if you didn't read it that way.
  5. Usually I don't care much for DWTS (sometimes I do watch it), but I find this highly interesting. A personality on an ABC show competing on another ABC show. Seems like synergy at the highest (and obnoxious) level. (Maybe Jimmy Kimmel could be next) But I really like Ginger and think she's a perfectly nice and bubbly person, so I think I'd watch to see how she does. Me neither. I think during her stint in competition she does either a day doing weather in LA, or stays in New York before commuting to LA to continue competing. Also, many other competitors have also done a commuting schedule from other places while competing on the show. It's grueling, but it happens.
  6. LITTON IS TAKING OVER SATURDAY MORNINGS, and it's scary. The More You Know
  7. I admit, I don't watch regularly anymore, but I'm glad I don't. I miss Nicolle and Rosie Perez. They were really good as co-hosts and truly had potential. Thanks to to drama and disasters from backstage, we'll never see that. IMO, hiring Raven-Symone and Michelle is a huge mistake, as shown with the controversial moments both of them have shown. Clearly, Raven can't say something constructed and sensical and Michelle can't say something worth following or funny. They have made some inroads with bringing Joy back and hiring Sara, Candace and Paula, along with some of the contributors, but The View isn't what it used to be. I wish the producers luck in continually finding strong consistency and likability in this group, but for now (at least until the Fall), I won't see myself as a regular View-er.
  8. Can we not do this, please? Robin is the most beloved on the main team, and it never crossed anyone's mind on the staff and this forum on whether or not she would leave. No one wants to say anything here until the time she makes it official.
  9. Wow. Awesome. Father and son together in Market 1. Maybe some crossovers with the network in the near future? That'll be a great sight.
  10. This clearly looks perfect for the morning show--but it's a little too cheesy for even that. (and that music!) Since they're trying to make it look like they've extended it to 11pm, it's sad that this is part of the best they could come up with right now.
  11. It's not just that they think they'll beat Action News. It's that we all know they won't. Not even by half. I don't think they're gonna even reach NBC10 because they have a more improved and much better news product to watch. CBS3 is getting better, but not enough to reach 10.
  12. Rest In Peace, Abe Vigoda (1921-2016)
  13. Umm...is this your way of saying "I disagree, I think things should stay the same"? Because if so...why?
  14. What an absolute shock. Condolences indeed to her family and coworkers.
  15. Good for her. She was a great weekend meteorologist at WCAU, and will be missed. I'm sure this was her choice, as said above that she'll be closer to home, and I wish her the best of luck there.
  16. Impressive. It's not in-your-face or bright and colorful, and is perfectly darkened with great amounts of blues and red, with a globe image that fondly reminds me of the open from early into the Diane Saywer era of WNT. A great improvement. ABC really stepped up with their graphics in time for election season, and that is fantastic.
  17. Agreed with all of this. I usually enjoy Lara (or at least tolerate her) when she does the human interest/fluff stories, but when she fills in for Robin, I'm really turned off. She just can't do hard news (maybe it's the perception of her in general and her work). She was just really great when with Josh and Sam. Their chemistry (with and without Robin & George) was spectacular and couldn't be broken with a sledgehammer. It was one of the reasons I watched GMA during that era and was a regular fan of their after-show on Yahoo. On Amy, she's great doing whatever you give her. She already proved herself as news reader, but really shined when she also fills in for Robin (perfect chemistry with) and does just as amazing with lighter stories. I generally like Lara too, and I agree that while she's great with what she does best, Amy is great at it all and should get paired with Robin and George more than her.
  18. On the other hand, congrats to Steve on this new position. He's a great fit for NBC and will do very well. I can't wait to see report on Today and Nightly News sometime in the new year.
  19. This actually would've been a cool feature if they hadn't made the screen that big. This really isn't needed. Just a two-screen and they're all good.
  20. Watching the Boston TV Crisis Speculation thread like it's Star Wars. It's maddening!
  21. Great choices. I enjoy watching Craig anchor, and it's good to get the slot. I've never seen/heard of Kala before (understandably because she last freelanced at WABC), but she has some good credibility around here, so I'll give her a chance. Good luck to them for longevity, and good work to the execs for the new pair-up.
  22. He's a class act, a professional, a grade-A talent and one of the very best veterans in the market. Congratulations to him on the anniversary. Yet it feels like he can go more.
  23. Agreed. While they are going to one great organization, they certainly left another. Although I will miss them at WPVI, they are very talented anchors and reporters and they do deserve huge promotions within the ABC company. Good luck and congrats to Eva on her move to the Alphabet.
  24. That is a great logo. Miles better than the last. The narrow logo and bars in the background got really grating to me, so I'm glad this change happened. This font looks way better suited for the network's politics coverage than the last; but other than "it really didn't age well" and "it got more stale", I don't have a good explanation for that (maybe that's it). And the simple look and that star piece in the middle looks awesome. Great job to the graphics department.
