  1. Just the fact that Kaity Tong is going back to weekdays is a joyous thing. The surprising this is she's doing a newscast at the time that last time helped brought her to a downfall. I hope this works out well this time. Also, it's great to see the great Brenda Blackmon on New York News again. But this is a surprise too. Yes, please let this happen. Although I'm cool with John anchoring three newscasts but definitely not Tamsen.
  2. Apparently, Good Day is now airing 7 days a week, starting on the 5th. I guess #Fox29Weekend (at least in name) just didn't click.
  3. Just a little reminder that the big GMA 40th Anniversary special is coming up in 25 minutes. The livestream is all around the Studios and TJ Holmes has bumped into former personalities. So cool.
  4. I was watching the livecast during WNN after 3:10, where, outside Times Square Studios, a crew member reveals that updates will be done to the ribbon marquee in front of the studios starting at the end of this year/start of next year. The Bill Murray-looking guy in the beard says that it will more curvy. I can't, for the life of me, imagine how that will look.
  5. Just the fact that Charlie was there on set again was great, but the conversation with George certainly was a big highlight to me thus far. And this livestream has a lot from me.
  6. I'm still watching the livestream and during a live behind-the-scenes walk into the set, I see they completely revamped the Social Square. It looks so completely different from the last time--and much nicer; it's warmer, more homey, much more wood-y and a lot less white and bright. Check out the YouTube stream on 24994J's last post and go back to before today's regular GMA broadcast where TJ Holmes walks into it for a BTS look and he'll peek into it. So darn nice. Great job to the designers!
  7. I gotta say, I'm really enjoying the livestream even so far as well. There are very good segments, very good happy talk by hour hosts (who give great performances), and I've never thought for once of changing the channel for something else on TV (mostly because I kept the stream on online). Seriously, thank goodness the event is also airing on the LiveWell subchannel. Plus, the aforementioned break fillers are really fun to watch. The banter between the bespectacled hosts has a nice alternative from the somberly serious coverage on WNN. It was sorely needed to keep me from getting angry at the TV. Overall, two big thumbs up. I so can't wait to watch more from the livestream later on today and during GMA tomorrow.
  8. Watching GMA's 40 for 40 event. I'm actually trying to stay awake to watch the whole thing. I'm gonna regret this...
  9. I didn't know this until now, but the Livestream is also on TV, surprisingly. I was channel-surfing until I saw it on the LiveWell .2 subchannel of WPVI in Philly. I'm not sure if it's on in other citites as well, but it's really cool for those without Internet to watch, too.
  10. Yep. It's going to be 40 hours, and will probably carry as many big news stories as it can online. Along with the usual GMA fare, and previous anchors and personalities appearing. I'm so excited.
  11. The 40 for 40 Livestream has begun.
  12. I watched GMA thia morning, and I noticed a nice little update to the set. This another one after the big refresh. It's an updated large screen display where the interview area and Social Square is, removing the metalic walls that seperate the two parts. Looks very nice. http://nca.st/P8Ys6
  13. So did I. I liked its simple design and how it contrasts from the sofa area's table. This looks small and weird. And the logo added onto it makes it a little smaller.
  14. I must say, I really like this programme. It's really good to watch for international news from an international source. And the open with the wide shot of central London and ITV HQ is simply awesome. I agree. While I like this version, the last was way better. It had a booming, serious and authoritative sound and concept that worked to the programme's advantage, at least for it's first hour and half of the 7am hour. I'm fine with this version, but I question the producers' move in changing from it.
  15. I don't know if this has been implemented earlier in the week or last month, but 6 now has a sweet time/temp bug shown on cut-in during Good Morning America. It switches between the 6 logo and GMA's with a spin. It's really cool.
  16. Happy 40th Anniversary, Good Morning America!
  17. I really like this new look, but I don't love it either. -The open and L3s look great, but are a pretty bland mixed bag for me too. While great, also look too meh to be mind-blowing or have much personality. I like the ribbons open way more than the new one (which kinda remind me of the Today open too), but the new L3s are way better than the updated L3s. -The set looks amazing, with a perfect touch of wood throughout. I do think the desk is really bland, though. Doesn't have much personality to it with just a few vertical lights and a screen (I loved the last desk more). And it really does look like that desk from years ago, which, in hindsight, looks fine to me now. But I can't tell whether this new one is a step-up or something equal with that one. But time will tell whether or not it'll grow on me. Overall, this look is great, but for now aren't amazing to me. Can't wait for the anniversary special.
  18. WHAT THE HECK, WFXT? or (How to make a really terrible logo that no one will find good.)
  19. Wow, I forgot about Juju Chang too. She was there for about two years, so it was so easy for her tenure to slip our minds. It'll be great to see her there too.
  20. I'm so excited for this event!! 40 hour livestream, many past anchors and personalities returning, a HUGE celebration to be held. I so can't wait to check it out. Maybe even see Kevin Newman and Lisa McRee on national TV again.
  21. Whatever the case (I think it's reality augmentation, too), this is a brilliant implement to the already brilliant segment and really makes it more (to use another segment's name) "Eye-Opening", attentive and amazing. I loved the "Headlines" segment since the start, but I love it even more because of it.
  22. Ummm...any reason for this?
  23. Erica Hill is joined by an unexpected partner on Weekend Today this morning: Harry Smith. It's been a long while since I've seen him anchor a program, and I'm very excited to see him behind a desk again. And my fellow Early Show fans will enjoy this. (cough Daybreak cough)
  24. I will say on Pat is that she is one of the most professional and humble personalities I've had the pleasure of watching throughout my life. She's sweet, lovely and vivacious, yet smart, tough and extremely classy. She can surely make a newscast one to watch. She and Ukee were (and still are) one of the best TV pairing in Philadelphia TV history--Their chemistry was undeniable and fantastic. Philadelphia (TV and in general) will certainly miss her. I will miss her. I wish the best in her future endeavors and in retirement.
