  1. Is that confirmed? The only reason I ask is because the first day I saw the new graphics were yesterday following the South Carolina shootings and they had a shorten brief introduction that was just about the incident and not the normal full teaser. I haven't seen since yesterday so I wasn't sure if they were just using that shortened intro for that day only
  2. I agree with that SC from 7-9 would have made more sense but maybe ESPN doesn't want one block of SC broadcasting from all the other blocks of the program. Also I haven't seen Reali on the show in a while and it seems that Jesse Palmer is there on the days that Michael Strahan is not. Palmer is pretty good I enjoy his interaction with the team.
  3. It's pretty nice, I really like the point where Matt Lauer stands solo to introduce the date and program. Show is still God-awful but the open is neat.
  4. Their studio was so beautiful when it debuted why they made all those changes to bring it to its current state I don't understand. They need something new.
  5. Not sure if that's what it is but that would be smart of them.
  6. I was wondering when CBS 2 had stopped streaming their newscast. For a while a few years ago, they were one the few in the nation to stream.
  7. Well my apologies to you newsproducer if you found offense in what I said but my point still stands as TVNewslover pointed out that GMA and Today are essentially the exact same programs. Neither is more news heavy or entertainment heavy than the other.
  8. Not to be rude but I have a really hard time listening to people who watch Today criticize GMA. The shows are essentially one in the same with different personalities. GMA's graphics are more flashy yes but they've always been. GMA went through a period of being more news driven and news focused and suffered one of their weakest periods in the shows history. Also GMA was created as the entertainment alternative to the news heavy Today so at the end of the day the show is staying true to it's fundamentals.
  9. This is the third year in which the entire cast has been in LA the following Monday.
  10. It's quite possibly especially because ABC has done it for. Dan Harris and David Muir split Sat/Sun duties for several years.
  11. Tough to hear. Didn't her mother pass earlier this year?
  12. And then in the last three instances of major turn overs at NBC, the network started out claiming that there was no truth to the stories only to turn out that there was in fact truth behind the allegations.
  13. I don't think Brian will hold onto the lead, the momentum is blowing in one direction and that's ABC's. That gap has gone from more than a million viewers to 170,000. It's only a matter of time. Furthermore, NN has turned more fluff in the last few months itself. Can you really judge ABC's broadcast while defending NBC's. The only true credible national newscast is CBS and Scott Pelley.
  14. My bets say that the momentum is in ABC's corner.
  15. I stand corrected! I'm guessing this was a little bit before they debuted the red and yellow graphics package.
  16. If my memory serves me correctly, this theme was used only for the weekend editions of GMA. I can't help with the name or anything like that but I know it was used on the Saturday and Sunday editions.
  17. Good chemistry between them all this morning. Rob will fit in perfectly.
  18. Lara being named co-anchor is just a title. Move noticed that she only fills in for Robin, never George. So maybe she's Robin's main fill in? As 24994J mentioned, when Robin was named co-anchor with Charlie and Diane, she was their equal whereas Lara is still the entertainment anchor.
  19. I expect greatness (ratings wise) from David's tenure. Someone shared a story from TVNewser on here not too long that said NBC is nervous about David's start.
  20. TVNewser is also suggesting that "Tonight" is back. Makes me so happy.
  21. Please please please let them revert the name back to World News Tonight!
  22. I don't necessarily remember GMA Weekend utilizing the outside aspect of the Time Square studies much. In fact they rarely broadcast from the downstairs portion so it's not like they necessarily are missing the studios on the weekends.
