GMA was created as a lifestyle and entertainment alternative to Today’s news and investigative format. GMA has gone way too the left of their original concept but they’ve always been the less-newsy format including the multi-personality lineups that each show sports today.

Not a terrible idea, especially considering the local morning news in NYC, LA, Chicago, Dallas and Houston (and I’m sure several others) draw bigger audiences than the national programs. If GMA, Today and CTM weren’t still such massive cash cows then I’m sure this route wouldn’t be so far off.

The show has become embarrassingly bad and they’re no longer even trying to fake that any aspect of the program is newsy. What I find so aggravating is that these shows are wondering how to stop the bleeding and return to the viewership of their old days. They’ve tried everything but returning to the appropriate mix of news, lifestyle and entertainment that made them what they were.

If they move Norah to the evenings then she’ll simply be moved once again in another 2 years or less. If Katie acoustic, Scott Kelly and Jeff Glor weren’t the answers I don’t see how Norah presumed to be.

Yes all that and he’ll be able to do it for half a year or so before executives decide the talent is what needs to change.

Why would he want to go to CBS? The Evening News is replacing Glor in rapid succession who replaced Scott Pelley in similar fashion. No amount of talent swaps can really change the course for this show or it’s competitors. People simply don’t watch it like they did before.

Streaming the WGN Morning News for a change today and surprised to hear the N-word going out over air several times during a Dean Reynolds entertainment segment. They played video of a young girl describing her frustration with Justin Bieber's marriage and repeatedly using the N-word without censorship. Complete facepalm and back to KTLA's morning offering I go.

I wasn't aware of any speculation that she may be leaving.

It’s about time Al Roker leaves as well. So funny to me how hypocritical they’re all being over a simple mistake. This the same bunch who sat and let Matt literally rape and berate women with no issue, but now a mistake by Kelly has them out with pitchforks.

You’re absolutely right about that. Even if not a lawyer, a journalist or TV personality needs to use extreme caution with topics like this. I’m not defending her lack of judgement but I don’t believe her comment was racist or intended to come off racist. She just didn’t use the best wording to make her point.

Her point is not offensive in my opinion. She definitely could have and should have worded it more eloquently but all that’s needed is a little context to understand she wasn’t being offensive.

Does Courtney Hall ad-lib? Every time I see her on the morning news she is somehow stumbling over every other word or emphasizing the wrong words. Goodness

Didn't even think about that but it makes too much sense. LOL at the idea of networks still changing the personalities of these newscasts instead of overhauling the antiquated format.

I’m also curious how legit the 4th role will be. Like will they have a fill in when one of the 4 is gone or just revert to a 3 anchor lineup?

Somehow the 3 anchor format on the weekend’s one hour show just doesn’t work well to me.

Is your Google broken? There are several stories in the last few years about Kelly's behavior and it was reported as a large factor for Michael wanting to escape. To the contrary, you don't get to throw a fit with your employer because they make a business decision you disagree with. Anyone else would roll with the punches and continue doing the job they're contracted to do. Does that not constitute diva-like behavior to you?
