A thought occurred to me today, is NBC attempting to air the West Coast version of NBC Nightly News on the East Coast, just like it airs the East Coast version on the West?

If so it would be tape delayed….because the West Coast version airs at 6:30 PT (right?) and prime time wouldn’t be over til a half hour later even if they ended it a half hour later.

WBNX in Cleveland is carrying Ring Nation (Saturdays at Noon and 12:30pm)

Just saw where WAXN will be airing it Sundays at 3 and 3:30pm starting October 2. WJHL 11.2 Tri-Cities (ABC) is airing it weekdays at noon starting next Monday. So apparently stations have the option of carrying it during the week or on the weekend. MGM should’ve went with Teen Court instead.

(speaking of cox stations, our friends in Atlanta apparently got 3pm news out of nowhere and now Tamron Hall is on at 1:37am there....that'll be a fun topic next TV season's thread.)

That’s temporary until the midterm elections are over. At least it’s supposed to be. If they did decide to keep it, I could see them moving Tamron to 10am and dropping Kelly Clarkson…but I’m not sure who would pick up Kelly Clarkson…WXIA probably would if JHud got cancelled. It not maybe WAGA but might have to be relegated to WUPA or WPCH.

while Charlotte and Roanoke have lifestyle shows

WBTV brands QC Morning and QC at 3 as “QC Life”. Only one of those shows are needed. They could air a newscast at 9 or 3 and call the lifestyle show “QC Life.”

WSB started a temporary 3pm newscast this week, lasting until the midterms are over. As a result, Tamron Hall is bumped until 1:36am.

And they outright admitted it's for political ad revenue:

    https://www.ajc.com/life/radiotvtalk-blog/wsb-tv-newscast-temporarily-pre-empts-tamron-hall-talk-show-at-3-pm-until-midterm-elections/K2M3KLB4FVHATB5U33ZICKY53M/

Your move WSOC. They could put Phil on WAXN to start a temporary 4:00 news and move Hot Bench and iCrime up and cut back Couples Court and Paternity Court to one airing each (the latter isn’t even in production and I don’t think Couples Court is either).

I just want to make sure - did Kelly Clarkson move into Ellen's old studio or did Jennifer Hudson? It sure looks like Ellen's old set on full display watching Jennifer Hudson earlier today.

I see KCYU acquired 'The Neighborhood,' but only in a weekend double-run, 1-2AM Sundays, and Thursdays following MLB baseball. No weeknight time slot. Young Sheldon goes into another year of reruns with no clearance in Yakima. With how much KIMA advertises the Big Bang reruns at 7, it still baffles me why they didn't clear YS reruns. They could have promoted this as 'The Sheldon Hour' after the local news, or something like that...

I see Neighborhood at 4:30pm on KYCU but only one run of that is no good because you only get every other episode (they are airing both episodes from the same season).

No reason why KIMA can’t air Young Sheldon at 7:30 and the Simpsons in late night. I mean they already have the new Young Sheldon at 8 one night a week. It would make too much sense.

NBC News Daily will air live for four hours every day, one hour for each time zone (minus Alaska and Hawaii). So, KPRC must be taking the Pacific time hour of the newscast with Kate Snow and Aaron Gilchrist.

There’s a small market station in Minnesota (KMNT I believe) that is taking the noon ET feed so it will air at 11am CT there.

You don't need to be shocked about this, though. Practically, none of us should, if their history is anything to go by.

Virtually every single major news outlet (ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, etc.), including Fox News and even Newsmax, is providing as-it-happens breaking news coverage of Queen Elizabeth II's passing at the age of 96 (she'll be dearly missed).

NewsNation, on the other hand? Would you believe it, they're showing "Blue Bloods" in lieu of any live coverage! The death of Britain's longest-reigning monarch in history (seven decades at the throne) is taking precedence over basically everything else in the news cycle, and still, NewsNation doesn't want to let go of "that beautiful syndie rerun footage..."

Way to go, NewsNation. Way to go. Your one big chance, and you blew that, as well... 😔

Time to shut it down now.

  9. Something I just noticed for KIRO…apparently they are trying to be a Scripps station now…they are picking up “The  List” and “Afternoon Focus” at 3 and 3:30 to replace Judge Judy next week which is moving to KCPQ/KJZO. I don’t think any of us had that on our bingo card. The previous day’s ET replaced Right This Minute this week at 2:30 after the Bold and the Beautiful. And the 4pm news also premieres next week.

It took me a bit to realize this, but I assume it's staying on a couple weeks because it'll eventually be the slot where a delayed-week run of Sherri will go, so the reruns are just backfill until the archive is built up.

From what I read on the other board, the reruns are supposed to end the 23RD. I think WCCB will pick up a rerun of Karamo in his slot (1am) beginning the 26th.

gonna bring a new market to this thread - orlando. these are weekday changes - might post weekends later? idk

WESH - the kelly clarkson show at 3pm starting 9/12 (tamron hall remains at 2pm. I guess they backed out of getting our rights to Jennifer Hudson? Was a huge window open for WFTV to take Tamron and their lineup is paying for it. )

WKMG - no changes. not that they ever want to spend money on syndication except the 2 shows they currently have

WFTV - the early exit of Judge Jerry and loss of a chance at Tamron makes this lineup weird. rightthisminute got replaced with just for laughs gags at 9:30am on 9/5, and is being replaced with Hot Bench on 9/12 (which I assume is a placeholder for ring nation.......if it even gets on the air.) also kelly clarkson isn't being cleared in Orlando this week - don't ask me how that's possible. any 10am is now 2 of many Family Feud runs this week on WFTV/WRDQ. 3:30pm is still Family Feud/Jeopardy as it has been since 7/26. on 9/12 10am is gonna change to iCrime.

WKCF - obvious drew barrymore cut to 30 mins at 10am (we're not clearing the second half hour). lauren lake moves in at 10:30am. Maury slides to 11am until Karamo on 9/19. 2 Steve blocks at 12pm and 3pm as Jerry moves to 1pm, second Maury at 2pm. American Housewife and the Neighborhood at 4 and 6pm hours, The Goldbergs moves to 5pm. Mom slides to the midnight side of the comedy block.

WRDQ - relative justice FINALLY gets cleared in Orlando at 10am. game show block is officially dead - Chicago Fire and SVU at 11am and 12pm. WFTV news repeat at 1. Dateline moves back (I guess last season's move to WRBW was a last second decision) at 2pm and 9pm. Sitcom block stays put at 3pm-5pm. 5-7pm is doing a bunch of random placeholders and stuff - Family Feud remains at 7 and 7:30. ICrime at 8pm. The First 48 moves from CW18 weekend slots to WRDQ weekdays at 2am - many of these changes are happening 9/12.

WOFL - Sherri/Jennifer at 10/11am, no other changes except Pictionary at 2pm and Nick Cannon at....11:35pm, a late night talk show of sorts until it finally leaves the lineup. judge judy remains at 4pm till someone realizes these are repeats.

WRBW - judge mabalean's 2 year clearance in Orlando ends - at least this week. no extreme changes except Sherri/Jennifer at 3 and 4pm, Nick Cannon at 9pm, and the sitcoms slated to leave this season will leave.

did not mean to bury half the page with my list but this is what's happening in Orlando.

One thing that sticks out to me about Orlando is how inferior WFTV’s lineup is compared to sister station WSOC’s. I guess WESH and WOFL are stronger stations. Now they lose Kelly Clarkson for…iCrime. But WSOC is a top two station in the market. Though I wish WSOC would get a 4pm news. Even if they put it on WAXN.

  12. WJZY replaced Young Sheldon with Extra at 7pm as of yesterday 😞, didn’t think it was supposed to happen for 2 more weeks.

Also TMZ moves to 11:30pm and Access Hollywood will air at midnight probably starting the 12th and they will air the second run of Pictionary after all at 12:30am.

Young Sheldon will have just the one weekday airing at 10pm on WMYT as far as I know.

Also Karamo replaces the 2pm Maury airing on the 19th on WCCB. The website was wrong. And Chicago PD replaces Law and Order SVD at 11am on WAXN that day.

    Weekend changes coming later.

They could always air infomercials in that slot for now... Better that than where they have been airing lately: Between September 1-9, WHP is pre-empting Wheel of Fortune four times for Time Life gospel infomercials! Obviously, Jeopardy! is not affected by this (since affiliates are apparently not allowed to pre-empt J! but not Wheel, and if they have to, J! needs to move to the Wheel slot). No sign of this continuing after the season premiere at least, but still, even if it's in repeats, pre-empting a Top 5 syndicated program four times in a week and a half over shows that are leaving feels like it shouldn't be allowed. Could this be a Sinclair thing? They already do this a lot with WOF on Saturdays but not right now since College Football on CBS means the Rocket Post Game Show always causes the 7:00 slot to get JIP'd.

Probably not the best time to bring this up lol but…it appears WSBK is getting Daytime Jeopardy.

I thought you were off when you talked about every other episode, but checking the listings vs. epguides and yes, AH is running episodes in order. That's insane, especially if they split the reruns in dayparts. The only other offnet I can think of that did that in syndication was Schitt's Creek.

They finally fixed that for Schitts Creek. Hopefully they will do the same for American Housewife. The Neighborhood is also doing this so any station only running one episode of that every day will probably be in the same boat.

Yup. WAXN airs a double run in the cushy time slot of 5pm before Seinfeld at 6pm. Should be swapped with The Goldbergs but i guess WAXN wants the two Jerry Stiller shows to air in tandem (but yet on Saturdays The Goldbergs double run airs at 8pm, if there’s no soccer, in between just like it did before the 7pm news started,)

  17. Charlotte Changes For The Week of September 12

    WBTV—No Changes

WSOC—Sherri inherits Wendy Williams’ 10am time slot. A repeat of WSOC News Tonight replaces Daily Mail TV at 1:36am (but not until Tuesday night/Wednesday morning because of MNF). Law and Crime Daily replaces Right This Minute next week at 2:06am.

    WCCB

10am/10:30 Drew Barrymore (replaces Steve Wilkos

    11am Steve Wilkos (replaces Maury)

    1pm Maury (replaces Steve Wilkos)

3pm Steve Wilkos (replaces Drew Barrymore)

    4pm Jennifer Hudson (replaces Ellen)

6pm American Housewife x2 (replaces Mom and Mike and Molly)

    7pm The Neighborhood x2 (replaces Blackish x2)

11:30pm Blackish x2 (replaces Two Broke Girls and the first half of the Kelly Clarkson encore)

12:30am Mom (replaces the second half of the Kelly Clarkson encore)

2am Jennifer Hudson encore (replaces an infomercial and Mom)

3am Kelly Clarkson encore (replaces “Rejoice With Pastor Dayna” and the first half of Drew Barrymore encore)

4am infomercial (replaces the second half of the Drew Barrymore encore)

I’m told Nick Cannon will not be going off the air til the 23RD. So maybe a Karamo encore takes his 1am spot the 26th? He’s supposed to be taking 3pm according to the website.

Tape delayed high school football from 11pm-1:30am Friday nights will be disrupting the late night schedule at least through the end of the regular season the last week of October. Maybe Blackish will be from 1:30-2:30am followed by Mom?

WCNC—Only change is simply swapping out Days of our Lives for NBC News Daily at 1pm.

    WJZY

11:30am Pictionary (replaces You Bet Your Life)

    1pm Extra (replaces Dateline)

    1:30 TMZ (replaces Dateline)

    * Dateline is only a placeholder at 1pm this week and next after The Good Dish went bye bye last week. And is getting preempted for BBT and YS tomorrow because Penn State and Purdue is airing on Fox tomorrow night. Believe it or not that would’ve been a better permanent Good Dish replacement. But I think this will be the backup time slot for BBT and YS for when WJZY can’t air them at 7 and 7:30. Extra and TMZ are previous day’s repeats from 11:30 and midnight.

12:30am Access Hollywood (replaces You Bet Your Life encore). Apparently Nexstar decided to pick this up again but at the expense of the second run of Pictionary like it said on the website. But they can’t even run that at 1:30am?

    WMYT

11am We The People With Lauren Lake (replaces one run of Relative Justice)

1pm Dateline (replaces TMZ and Extra). Yes, Nexstar is swapping out the shows between the two stations, and for two weeks the same episode of Dateline will be running back to back at 1 & 2 on each station.

2pm You Bet Your Life x 2 (replaces Dateline) So it gets a downgrade in stations but the second run gets an upgrade out of late night.

Also a reminder Last Man Standing finally gets cleared here next week on WMYT, at 6 and 6:30, which shifts Judge Mathis and People’s Court up an hour to 4 and 5.

I thought all along that Schitts Creek was leaving syndication but that may not be the case. It remains at 10:30pm.

WAXN: The previous day’s Sherri replaces Wendy at 6am but obviously not until Tuesday the 13th.

The 4pm episode of Law and Order: SVU moves to 11am to replace The Doctors after holding down the fort for a week after Judge Jerry ends this week. That will air back to back at 11am

and noon so that makes sense.

A double run of iCrime replaces Law and Order: SVU at 4pm.
