That seemed like the most likely path for it too, since Meredith and Gray have very little overlap - they seem like companies that can work together more easily.

The Gray-owned Circle network is now available in Nashville and in many other Meredith markets (not all of them yet, but it's a big move for Gray to add their channel in other markets). https://musicrow.com/2020/02/circle-launches-in-nashville-on-wsmv/

In other words, giving a middle finger to Mr. Kim. Smart move there to fight off corporate bullying.- 3605 replies

I wonder if the Scripps graphics can get color modifications within the same general framework? I know Gray has red options to their otherwise blue new graphics (several stations have done that). While red is typically for breaking news, it would suit some stations better. I know if Scripps had a station in New Orleans, purple (Mardi Gras color) would look nice on it too, while in Knoxville, orange would be a good fit.. As for WLEX, I think the blue and white fit perfectly for that market. Bluegrass + Wildcats.

We're talking two different companies though, since Soo Kim has no connection to the current "Standard Media".- 3605 replies

Weigel and Gray seem to have got along quite well too. I know, except in South Bend where Gray already owns WNDU, all their stations also run Greta's show and they may have news connections to them too.

WSMV has really come on as well the last year or two after they struggled for most of the 2010s. They may take over as the market leader.

They may be getting a new set later? WLOX is also uber-dominant. -

I also wonder if the Gray legacy stations will get the Raycom 2018 layout? AFAIK, none have changed to it. -

What stations have NOT gone full Gray yet? -
I know in Charleston, WCSC blows everyone else out of the water and always has. WIS is still way ahead of WLTX in Columbia, correct?
-
Not surprised there since CBS and Gray seem to get along really well.

The lack of any real competition in the market could be one reason. -

Have the other Gray recent acquisitions like WWNY and KEYC changed to these packages as well? I know we talk a lot on the ex-Raycom stations. -
Some of the stations are going to look awful with that design. They might want to redesign the logos for the Montana stations, for example.
-
Probably fearing a cable or online all-local news channel in Atlanta? I know there aren't any right now.
-
What happens when there are no sister stations in the market though? For example, if something happened in Chattanooga...it's the one Tennessee market that Nexstar is not in.

They should customize the colors though to suit the station and match the logos and the community. -

Smaller market stations don't have the money to go in-house. That said, Gray should hire them to do that package (in colors that suit the stations) company-wide. -
Does BH own any stake in Graham Media, or vice versa?
