  1. Also I believe WILX and WLNS are very close in ratings so there isn't a dominant force there?
  2. Vidalia could just be used as satellites for nearby Gray stations - perhaps satellites of WTOC and WALB.
  3. Probably making things cheaper for a company sale.
  4. Then probably back in the spring of 2022.
  5. Or Columbus News Now? That would be a more suitable branding. I think the DOJ would be more likely to raise a stink here. They already have the most powerful station and a second station (via SSA). They would completely dwarf their only real competition (Nexstar). One possibility I could see is that they may have to give up one of the networks over (to 3.2), similar to what happened in Hawaii.
  6. That would create a monopoly in Lake Charles, even though as a low-powered station it would be completely legal.
  7. WLTZ has always been a total ratings dog. 3rd in a 2-station market. WTVM has always dominated and WRBL has always been a distant second.
  8. I don't believe that would be possible.
  9. If those are LP's, they don't count towards the national cap. On that thought - Lake Charles is the only market in Louisiana that Nexstar is absent in. Maybe that's something they should look into?
  10. KOKH has always been a very distant last...literally the fourth station in a three-station market.
  11. The last of the Gray legacy stations have had their sites updated. The only ex-Raycom station to have an updated site so far is KYOU.
  12. Yeah that's going to be challenging. They are going to have to really work for this.
  13. This may not go so well...
  14. They could place it on a distant DT, in order to maintain such coverage.
  15. I noticed that too...something that they need to fix. Most of the Gray legacy stations are now updated, the exceptions being KKCO, KTUU, KTVF, WABI, WAGM, WCAX and WTVG.
  16. https://www.kgns.tv/2020/07/07/kgns-news-reports-8-cases-of-covid-19/ KGNS (Laredo, TX) has 8 confirmed cases of COVID-19 within its staff. For a fairly small station, that's enormous. Are they going to be able to even keep doing newscasts? The closest sister station to them is KWTX in Waco.
  17. As far as the site changes go, they have since done it to KFYR and its satellites, KVLY, KWCH, WILX, WJRT and WOWT.
  18. Over the last few days, Gray has changed some more sites: KOLN/KGIN, KNEP, KNOP, KSNB, WIBW, WIFR and WSAW. The legacy Gray stations are rapidly being changed. Next would be the ex-Raycom stations most likely.
  19. New additions: KMVT, WHSV and WTVY. Also added: KWQC, WBAY, WDTV, WEAU, WMTV and WTAP.
  20. Some more just got it: WDBJ, WRDW/WAGT and WSAZ. Mostly Gray legacy stations so far (KYOU is the only ex-Raycom station to have changed).
  21. Probably still working on that.
  22. I can see him ending up across town in a company more suited for him...
  23. A few more: WITN, WCTV, WCJB.
  24. Three others with the new site today: KGNS, KBTX and KOSA. Edit: And two more. KOLO, KXII
  25. KYOU appears to be the first ex-Raycom station with the new design. https://www.kyoutv.com/
