  1. Monique has been anchoring the 5 pm newscasts since June. And your correct a matter time before Angela was out the door. She is saying it's to spend more time with her 2 young daughters/pursue her passion for writing; others are saying she's being pushed out.
  2. Dave Ward longtime anchor at KTRK has signed off for the final time last night as co-anchor of the 10 pm newscast after 48 years: http://abc13.com/technology/dave-ward-signs-off-eyewitness-news-at-10/448382/ He will continue to anchor the 6 pm newscast, and will still appear on the 10 pm newscasts occasionally.
  3. With the announcement of Karen Borta moving to mornings at KTVT, looks like Adrienne Bankert will be leaving the station December 31st: http://www.star-telegram.com/entertainment/tv/article4657227.html.
  4. Angela Taylor joining WESH as evening anchor; will co-anchor 5 pm and 10 pm newscasts (on sister station WKCF): http://www.orlandosentinel.com/entertainment/tv/tv-guy/os-wesh-adds-arkansas-anchor-20141217-post.html
  5. I'm not sure, but Martha still has another 8 months left before she appears on air so we'll see what happens.
  6. Meredith McDonough of WESH has been promoted to early evening & late night co-anchor: http://www.mediabistro.com/tvspy/wesh-promotes-meredith-mcdonough_b136252 She replaces Martha Sugalaski who left in July.
  7. They should just give Tom the weekend anchor duties. They seem to send Cecilia to different locations to report and Amy is already on GMA so why not.
  8. From what I can tell WNBC is doing what they did in the past of having 1 primary noon anchor (Shiba) and having 2 others split the noon duties while also working the weekend shift.
  9. Good for you And I found my info from the CBS philly website itself wasn't that hard to do.
  10. From what I found seems he only anchored on Sunday Mornings and reported the rest of the time.
  11. Speaking of Juliet; WNYW now has her bio up on their website: http://www.myfoxny.com/story/27439212/juliet-huddy
  12. I'm sure in due time we'll see Ben anchoring the evening news. And would a station in the #1 market really hire someone who was a street reporter in Philadelphia to anchoring a prime time newscast? I think WNYW played it safe by placing him in the mornings before promoting him to evenings (That's if he actually stays around long enough to find out)
  13. Someone posted it in the Markina Brown thread, but he apparently got the job because apparently the new ND who arrived in September had worked with him previously at KCTV and another station I believe.
  14. Lawrence Karnow morning & noon meteorologist at San Francisco CBS owned station KPIX is reportedly out at the station: http://www.mediabistro.com/tvspy/lawrence-karnow-reportedly-out-at-kpix_b134997 Supposedly replacing him is Roberta Gonzalez who had been the weeknight meteorologist but was demoted to weekends when Paul Deanno arrived a couple years back.
  15. Agree with everyone but Josh. He was good starting out at GMA, but as the years went on and near the end he seemed to have an arrogant attitude about him. I would rather have Lester replace Matt before Josh he can stay at NBC sports.
  16. Would like to see Lester and Dylan promoted to weekdays and Matt & Al demoted to weekends.
  17. I Believe Ilona has been part of the 10 pm shows ever since She and Erik started anchoring the 6:30 shows.
  18. He could be the permanent co-anchor of the 2nd half of the 5 pm show alongside Shiba Russell. He has been working that shift pretty much ever since Tom left for ABC News.
  19. For the longest time Cindy was doing both the weekend morning and weekend evening shows. Now Cindy just does weekend evenings, while Diane & Andrea do weekend mornings. Dick was doing both weekend morning and evenings I believe for a bit before he got the 9 pm weeknight slot on WLNY.
  20. He's been on there for a while now, I wanna say not long after the launch I saw him on air.
  21. Well it's official former Good Day Philadelphia anchor Sheinelle Jones joining Weekend Today as news anchor/reader: http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/sheinelle-jones-named-news-anchor-of-weekend-today_b238932
  22. They can demote him to a reporter/fill-in anchor. I tried several times to watch the 4 with David anchoring but can't watch him idk what is. I'm sure he's a nice guy and all but idk just watch an entire show with him anchoring. As for the idea I had for Rob anchoring the 4 that was if David left or got demoted.
  23. Could this be a possibility Rob anchoring at 4, and handling sports for the 6 & 11? I know at KGO they have the sports guy anchoring the 4 pm news and then doing sports for the 6 & 11.
  24. Apparently it's something new that just started this week. Rather then just having Shiba & Chuck anchor the entire 5 pm hour, They decide to split the newcast in half with Sibila & Chuck anchoring the first half and then Shiba & so far David anchoring the second half...lame if you ask me. Personally I hope it's just a placeholder until WNBC decides on a permanent replacement for Tom be it someone hired from the outside, or a promotion from within at which point Shiba & Tom's replacement will most likely anchor the entire 5 pm hour.
  25. Well according to this Sheinelle Jones is supposedly going to be replacing Jenna Wolfe as news anchor on Weekend Today: http://ftvlive.com/todays-news/2014/9/12/is-former-philly-anchor-getting-jenna-wolfes-old-job I would've thought at least Craig Melvin would've gotten the gig.
