  1. Looks like NBC affiliate KPRC in Houston has expanded it's 11 am newscast to 12:30 pm being the only station in the Houston area to offer 90 minutes of news midday: http://mikemcguff.blogspot.com/2015/03/kprc-2-launches-noon-newscast.html
  2. I do it's more like a mix of a light hearted/hardcore newscast. Think a mix of the 6 pm newscast with weekend Today in NY thrown into the mix (At least that's how I see it).
  3. Whoever is placing Stephany Fisher at WGCL perhaps they can split the teams have one team do 5 & 11 pm, have another team do 4 & 6 pm.
  4. WNBC just recently started streaming their weekend newscasts a few weeks ago. However they no longer stream their weeknight 7 pm newscasts. I'm sure WCBS will stream their weekend newscasts eventually.
  5. Kerry Barrett in for Pat Battle this morning. First time Kerry has been on the anchor desk since arriving earlier this month. Wanted to also add Gus Rosendale seems to permanent on the weekend TINY anchor desk although nothing official has been announced.
  6. Either Jummy or Autria and perhaps one of them will get bumped down to reporter?. But from reading your previous post you state Autria has been filing in on the 4 pm. So perhaps Autria is moving to the 4 pm, and Larry is replacing her on the morning shift?.
  7. Well WJLA is supposedly hiring another former CNNer : http://www.ftvlive.com/todays-news/2015/3/27/dc-station-to-hire-former-cnn-sports-guy-to-anchor-news Larry Smith would co-anchor the morning newscasts.
  8. Wouldn't they have also attended last night's memorial service?
  9. Sandra Bookman & David Novarro in for Lori & Ken this morning presumably so that Lori & Ken could attend Lisa's memorial service last night.
  10. If i'm not mistaken someone mentioned up thread why not have Adam & Trina anchor the entire 5 pm hour and Jawan & Jackie could anchor the 6 & 11 pm shows. Also rather then having the morning crew do the 11 am show, Adam & Trina could possibly also anchor the 11 am half hour.
  11. SoFlo sources tell FTVLive that WTVJ is about to shake things up in the newsroom. The NBC O&O is looking to lift their sagging ratings and feel some changes are needed. Word is that Jawan Strader, who has been anchoring mornings at WTVJ, is headed to the evening anchor chair. The station will team a new Anchor with Pam Giganti on on mornings. FTVLive hears that other talent will be shifted around to try and improve the numbers. Word is that several producers are being shuffled around as well to try to breathe new life into the shows. The changes all come as the staton continues to struggle in the evenings and at 11pm in the ratings. Stay tuned and remember where you read it first. This from the article I posted earlier.
  12. This has nothing to do with radio it's moving current WTVJ morning anchor Jawan Strader to evenings, hiring someone to replace Jawan in the mornings and booting Adam from the anchor chair. Current WTVJ profiles for Adam & Jawan: http://www.nbcmiami.com/on-air/about-us/121508714.html Adam http://www.nbcmiami.com/on-air/about-us/Jawan-Strader-190435001.html Jawan
  13. From reading the article it sounds as though WTVJ wants to hire someone new to replace Jawan in the mornings. Not move a current employee from weekends to weekdays. Keith Jones was originally hired to do the weekday mornings and Jawan was originally hired to do weekend evenings, but it was very short lived as they felt Jawan was better suited for weekday mornings and Keith would be better on weekends.
  14. Could it be they want someone (in this case Jawan) with more news anchoring experience anchoring the evening newscasts? Adam used to be a sports anchor/reporter but then transitioned to news anchor a few years ago. I read somewhere where Adam was supposed to anchor the mornings but they put him on evenings instead.
  15. Possible changes coming to NBC owned WTVJ in Miami: http://www.ftvlive.com/todays-news/2015/3/18/anchor-shake-up-to-hit-miami-station Basically it says moving Jawan Strader from mornings to evenings and hiring a new person to take over for the weekday mornings. No word on what will happen with current weeknight anchor Adam Kuperstein.
  16. Aren't Dick and Alice usually out on the street reporting for the 5 & 6? At least that's what I've noticed and I would assume after reporting for the 5 & 6 they come back to the studios to prepare for the 9 pm.
  17. Looks like his last report with KUSA was on February 24th: http://www.9news.com/story/weather/2015/02/24/wolf-creek-pass-south-fork-snow/23965565/
  18. Potential new GM possibly joining WNBC with retirement of current GM in June: http://www.ftvlive.com/todays-news/2015/3/15/philly-gm-headed-to-the-big-apple
  19. Maybe Ben could do the 5 pm with Dari, Steve move back to the 6 and do the 10 with Dari, and Ernie well idk what would happen if Steve went back to 6. But who knows.
  20. No I'm currently watching a story about sinkhole repairs closing down a road. (I'm using Firefox).
  21. Now the real question is does Mike Marza keep going by Marza? Or does he revert back to Mike Marusarz which is his actual last name and which is what I believe he went by when he was still in Kansas City. He only switched to Marza after getting the gig in Miami.
  22. Morning newscast is also streaming. Agree with you seems to be a permanent change. Wanted to also add they seem to be the only ones that also stream commercials the others all usually go to a blank screen.
  23. Just clicked the link seems to be working for the 6 pm newscast as well.
  24. Something similar happened with KTVT in Dallas of course said employee is still working at KTVT http://www.ftvlive.com/todays-news/2015/2/3/ft-worth-police-lashed-out-at-dallas-station http://dfw.cbslocal.com/personality/arezow-doost/
  25. WFOR morning anchor Rhiannon Ally & her husband WSVN afternoon/evening anchor Mike Marza leaving Miami and heading back home to Kansas City: http://www.gossipextra.com/2015/03/11/wsvn-mike-marza-wfor-rihannon-ally-leaving-4571/ http://www.ftvlive.com/todays-news/2015/3/12/leaving-soflo
