  1. Let me try not to make the joke about a certain namesake of his.
  2. I took the pic out on accident. It was KPXJ.
  3. I had said earlier that this was about to happen but didn't want to post about it until I saw the promo. KPXJ is doing a 3pm newscast beginning on the 16th. Alex Anderson will anchor, Joe Haynes will be on weather and Julie Parr will handle the Texarkana reports along with additional reports chiefly from Brandy Campbell. Anderson also anchors at 4pm and does sports at 6, 9 and 10.
  4. I could fully see WDKY overtaking them over the years.
  5. Relating to Austin and how Nexstar got KXNW in Fort Smith, I wonder if Nexstar could use KCWX being technically licensed to the Austin DMA to acquire that outright and expand into San Antonio.
  6. I wonder if affiliates will be inclined to produce local news for the Rewind subchannels.
  7. Nexstar recently posted the affiliate list for Rewind TV. KMSS has it in Shreveport, KABB(!) has it in San Antonio and WOIO has it in Cleveland.
  8. KSAT, why?
  9. Scripps can't own WTWC unless they get a waiver.
  10. PLEASE let this be an alternate music option for the Scripps stations. I don't dislike the theme music they're using now but this is too good to only be for that news channel. It sounds like an extremely reworked and improved Guardian.
  11. https://tvnewscheck.com/top-news/journalism/article/scripps-launching-florida-statewide-news-network/ Scripps is launching a statewide news network using the resources of all of its Florida stations......including WSFL. In fact, Nicole Wolfe is leading the effort. So, how does WSFL have a news director if they aren't originating their own news? And what reporters from WSFL will actually contribute?
  12. I thought Valdosta was Jax. Unless I'm thinking of Waycross. Both share a PBS signal, so.
  13. Wouldn't be surprised if somehow she won. But nothing surprises me anymore.
  14. Is there really room for one??
  15. Exactly. Out of ALL the stations that gained big 3 affiliations after the Fox switcheroo, WDJT has been among the best. They could be so much cheaper than they are. What's the reason for being hard on them?
  16. If the Acme thing was the case, then why didn't UPN just go to 33 as part of the deal which saw Acme and Paramount airing each other's networks in groups where one network was missing a station? One would think it would have been a no-brainer. When KASY rejoined UPN after that short break, Paramount had also agreed to have the WB remain on WWHO and WLWC and add it to WTVX. Acme did the same for UPN in Champaign and Knoxville, in addition to keeping it in off hours on KPLRm
  17. It's gonna be Syracuse. I read that on the article.
  18. After two years, evening anchor Shelby Cashman is leaving KOAT to take over the morning spot on KOCO. This isn't her first time in Oklahoma City either. This surprises me because I thought Alejandra Briones was next in line to take the morning anchor spot but at the same time, it doesn't as I saw this eventually coming when Cashman left for KOAT.
  19. Ron Young coanchored the 9am news on KSLA while serving as the meteorologist. In a reverse example, Steve Bender left his morning anchor gig at KTAL to be the meteorologist at KRNV.
  20. As soon as that non-compete expires.
  21. He was in my City for a bit too at KSLA.
  22. Maybe no one else put their foot down. I mean, there is always going to be that station that goes a different route.
  23. I'm willing to bet that they are gonna only change the graphics and keep the music.
  24. Idk if this has been covered here yet, but Thanh Truong is leaving WWL but he plans to stay put in New Orleans. His final day was today. He is going to launch a True Crime podcast with his wife. Didn't he JUST move to the Noon newscast not too long ago from the later shows?? https://www.nola.com/news/crime_police/article_9436cff8-51cf-11ea-a092-9f8736ea6a46.html https://www.wwltv.com/article/news/local/thanh-truong-says-farewell-to-wwl-tv/289-af96d62c-8b35-41ea-818e-d0211fbcc4de
