  1. And he's 96. When will he just give it up by 1) retire and 2) sell WBNX-TV? That station is desperate for a new owner to get away from the deeply and severely troubled Angley ministries.
  2. They say its canceled so it may not be rescheduled.
  3. WPHL will continue to start at 4:30 a.m. while WFMZ will remain at 5:00 a.m.
  4. Well, it finally happened this morning. TV3 is now Virgin Media One 3e is now Virgin Media Two Be3 is now Virgin Media Three A fourth channel, Virgin Media Sport, is coming September 18th. https://www.a516digital.com/2018/08/virgin-media-tv-goes-live-across.html
  5. Its sometimes good to ask questions when you see something out of curiosity or something that may look off. So I did some fact checking after noticing something from a certain television station's wiki article because I didn't see any announcement made about this. So all I did was go on Facebook, go on this certain TV station's page and ask the question and long behold, I got my answer. Here's what I'm talking about... KOLO 8 in Reno is stealing The CW away from KRNS 46. It starts this Saturday morning at 4:00 a.m. PDT on KOLO 8.3 (Me-TV is on 8.2), Charter 12 and 695 and DirecTV 9. No word as to what KRNS will replace The CW with. Could be UniMas but it could also be another network. Also, no word if KOLO will add any local news on The CW subchannel. (And yes, that's me asking that.) https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10155399568491503
  6. Mentioned in the shoutbox before, starting next Monday, KGO adds an hour at 10 p.m. on its partner station KOFY bringing it to two hours from 9-11 p.m. starting Labor Day.
  7. But popular with most (if not all) FOX O&O stations.
  8. I've enjoyed Newsy somewhat since it carries any lack of political talk. Same with CBSN.
  9. KTVN Reno is getting new graphics (the CBS O&O or the WNEM one) to coincide with the station adding 4:00 and 4:30 p.m. news starting next Monday.
  10. This time of the year is a busy time for me when I do my blog and, if you allow me because this will be a list, this is how much expansions you can expect next month alone. September 3rd: In Utah... KUTV forces to move its 7:00 a.m. to KJZZ while KUTV brings back 4:00 and 4:30 p.m. In New Orleans... WDSU brings back its noon newscast and its an hour long (starts as a half-hour due to NBC Sports but will then be an hour-long the next day). In Roanoke... WDBJ 7 will put more local news on its newest sister WZBJ 24 at 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. September 4th: In the DFW Metroplex... FOX 4 News - Good Day becomes a six-hour broadcast with a 9:00 a.m. hour. In South Bend... WNDU NewsCenter 16 at 4:00 will make its debut to go against WSBT 22. September 10th: In Houston... the recently announced ABC 13 Eyewitness News at 3:00 joins the lineup. In Milwaukee... WISN 12 News Midday brings the station back to the midday news game for the first time in quite a while. In Memphis... WMC Action News 5 Today will start at 4:00 a.m., the earliest in Memphis. Also in New Orleans... FOX 8 News - The Morning Edition goes to 9:00 a.m. as well. In Providence... WJAR 10 is going to 3:00 p.m. too. Questionable move at best. September 17th: In Charlotte... probably not getting enough attention but FOX 46 News at 5:00 will arrive. Announced today, WPMT 43 is adding another hour to its FOX 43 Morning News, this time at 9:00 a.m. In Lafayette, Ind.... WPBY 35 and its Star City News will add an extra half-hour at 7:00 p.m. Please allow this list post just to prove a point that September is a busy time for local television everywhere. Its usually not this busy in all other months of the year.
  11. She's on Highly Questionable all this week (4:30 p.m. ET on ESPNews this week)
  12. Inside Edition does its thing live at 3pm ET/2pm CT so unfortunately, Jeopardy! is the one who's moving.
  13. Except they're turning their stations into complete crap! Look at WUSA for example and soon with KSDK and their "STL at Night" concept. WWL is going down the tubes and WXIA will soon be last in Atlanta. Like my god. The company was better under Gannett, period!
  14. Apparently so since WWL and now KUTV are affected.
  15. Sorry to double post but... Yeah this is true. WFMY is all alone in that market. They're stuck in this position because I know they're not going to put the 7am hour of its WeatherNation subchannel or anywhere else because its not as widely available as WFMY 2.1 But as long as KOTV and WFMY continue to air CBS-TM from 8-10am so that both have a 7am hour that they want air, then expect to hear no complaints at all from CBS anytime soon. And if KUTV did air it from 8-10am, then they wouldn't be in this spot in the first place.
  16. I think CBS complained because just now, they realize the second hour of CBS-TM airs on a MyNetworkTV affiliate, not a CBS affiliate. This is why they wanted to get rid of that 7am local news hour so they can air it in pattern from 7-9am. This is also why they complained to WWL about it since CBS-TM aired on another MyNetworkTV affiliate, WUPL (this time though, in its entirety).
  17. This show is going away in just months. If Beadle's leaving and the show is cutting back in hours, it will just be like High Noon... gone real fast before it barely existed.
  18. Which probably won't happen.
  19. And Rudabeh is still hot. <3 Sorry for going off-topic. I only watch WFOR for her.
  20. Two things... KSAT 12 is doing the following... It will add a half-hour weeknight 9:00 p.m. newscast on Me-TV San Antonio as well as KSAT TV (its OTT channel) in the Fall. It will trade its hour-long format from weeknights (current) to weekends (future) starting the week of January 1st, 2019. Jimmy Kimmel Live and Nightline will air in pattern for the first time since 2011 (even though it will be the first time since 2013 that KSAT will air Jimmy Kimmel Live in its current 10:35 p.m. pattern). Instant Replay is expanding to a full hour on Sundays from 11:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m. https://changingnewscasts.wordpress.com/2018/08/22/ksat-about-to-make-plenty-of-news-changes/ KUTV 2 is doing the following... Moving its long-time 7:00 a.m. hour from KUTV to KJZZ due to CBS' obligations involving its new 10-year affiliation agreement. KJZZ will be the exclusive home to KUTV 2 News This Morning at 7:00 a.m. starting September 3rd, as its already exclusive to the 8:00 a.m. hour. Add two half-hours of local news at 4:00 and 4:30 p.m. on KUTV, also starting September 3rd. https://changingnewscasts.wordpress.com/2018/08/23/kutv-forced-to-make-changes-in-morning-thanks-cbs-also-bring-back-400-pm-news/
  21. FOX treats WNYW like trash. They treat KTTV better than WNYW. And at somewhere in heaven, WHBQ must be calling heavens on earth for getting dumped by FOX for COX. WHBQ was trashed under FOX and treated like royalty under COX. Amazing times we live in.
  22. First saw it at Boston Logan this morning. That made me think of the CNN "flip" ticker they used to have.
  23. I feel like there should also be specific threads related to specific broadcast sports operations/networks, just like how we have them for regular seasons in sports (ex. 2018 MLB Season, etc.) So I thought why not start an ESPN Thread where everything ESPN-related would fit here instead of having separate threads for ESPN+, ESPN's TSN TradeCentre simulcast, ESPN8: The Ocho, etc. I'll start right here with this... Try to watch Bob Ley as much as possible right now... he's taking a six-month sabbatical starting October 1st: https://thebiglead.com/2018/08/15/bob-ley-taking-six-month-break-from-espn/?utm_source=outbrain_thebiglead&utm_medium=recirc&utm_campaign=rail
  24. Here's the new open to WCJB's weeknight 11:00 p.m. news. I'll try to get the other dayparts.
  25. The new open for WCJB. This is the 6pm weekend report but video doesn't start out the best. Will try again at 11pm tonight. EDIT: Here's the new open at 11pm with new graphics and lower 3rds.
