  1. At least she escaped the hellhole that is KUSI. They even called her a secret agent in a lawsuit. Like... what?! (Story from Feb. 2022) https://timesofsandiego.com/business/2022/02/23/kusi-labels-ex-anchor-a-secret-agent-in-maas-suit-admits-viewing-private-email/
  2. The service is irrevelant and CBS wanted to program those two hours it couldn't within those two stations in those Top 20 markets. They'll be fine without MNT. WSBK and WBFS deserve to be Independents. MNT is really worthless. I won't miss it one bit.
  3. I felt like she has been there longer, but I've followed her career since WTOV because her and Natalie Pasquarella worked together at 'TOV and good 'ol Channel 9 for a long time. It sucks she won't be around but family matters more first.
  4. Its usually an afternoon or midday crew who would do it since having a morning team doing it would be so much longer of a day for them. For my NBC station WTVJ, the midday team at noon and 4pm do the live cut-ins.
  5. Both of my NBC station's cut-ins (WTVJ) are live at 1:22 and 1:52pm. Also I wanna say that this alone is why I prefer NBC ND over GMA3 but if that wasn't included, I'd still think I would prefer NBC ND over GMA3 because it just looks like a better more straight to the point newshour than GMA3 is.
  6. That's KTSH Channel 19, according to RabbitEars. It was a temporary simulcast of KSLA beforehand.
  7. Yeah that was crazy. They did so for like a month back in 2016, then changed it back to air The List at 6:30pm. I don't get why they expanded it only to then go back to a half-hour just a month later.
  8. All schedules show the same thing. On Monday, Sept. 12th, the 10:00am hour will still be there, the noon news will be gone, and the 6:00pm news will be a full hour, finally giving KTLA its first competition at 6:30pm since its newscast launch in 2009.
  9. Think about this... 4:00-10:00am 1:00-7:30pm 10:00pm-12:00am And that's on top of their longtime lifestyle show MORE from 10:00-11:00am and the new syndicated show Beat The Odds that's coming out of KVVU's studios.
  10. Pluto TV, XUMO, Tubi, Live TV from The Roku Channel, Peacock, Stirr, Distro TV, Plex. They all offer "Live TV" channels inside their apps and most channels are just as equal or miles better than what you get on cable. The only downside to that is live sports, that you still need cable for. Lmao.
  11. Ah okay. My bad. Sorry for the confusion.
  12. 4:30-7:00am 12:00-1:00pm 4:00-5:00pm That's in addition to 7:00-10:00am and 10:00-11:00pm.
  13. No and affiliates will fight this if they have to.
  14. Why can't it just be 3 News at 5:00, just like its 6pm news?
  15. That's not a bad idea. Have two feeds, let the affiliates choose.
  16. I read in a recent article that KVVU and KTNV are fighting it out for the top dog in the market. Whoever doesn't get it ends up a strong second. KLAS is third and KSNV is just in a dog pile stinking fourth.
  17. I wanna puke just hearing that... Good Day Miami. Thank god its morning news is Today in Florida (which dates back to their NBC days). This article says otherwise saying it will return later this year. Also, WILX has Funny You Should Ask. That'll probably air since Wheel doesn't do second-runs. https://www.wilx.com/2022/07/29/wilx-studio-10-takes-hiatus-launches-studio-10-presents/
  18. Oh nice! Jim (S31MA) featured her in a recent newscast for WRSP. What a jump in markets she has made.
  19. That whole market is crazy. WBBH is 4:30-7:00am, 11:00am-1:00pm, 3:00-6:30 and 11:00-11:35pm. WINK is 4:30-7:00am, 12:00-12:30pm, 3:00-6:30, 7:00-7:30 and 11:00-11:35pm. It also does 7:00-11:00am, 6:30-7:00 and 10:00-11:00pm for WXCW. WZVN is 4:30-7:00, 9:00-11:00am, 6:00-6:30, 7:00-7:30 and 11:00-11:35pm. WFTX is 6:00-11:00am, 5:00-7:00 and 10:00-11:30pm. Yes... there are THREE 10:00am local morning newscasts in Southwest Florida. If you don't count for cable-only options in Tampa Bay and Orlando, there are none everywhere else in the state of Florida, including my own home market (Miami).
  20. Should've stuck with more news, less opinion, but no. They decided to go the opposite way and guess what? Its now costed them ratings BIG time.
  21. I think five is sufficient. Four main on-air ones plus a fifth as a behind-the-scenes producer/fill-in.
  22. I think its them? I'm not too confident on that because there's been so many changes in the market over the past 5-10 years that its hard to keep up. Don't quote me on that because I'm not too confident about Vegas TV ratings.
  23. Its not a surprise. One, its Vegas. Two, Gray is converting KVVU into what KSNV wanted to do under Jim Rogers. So now, its 4-10am, 1-2pm, 3-7:30pm and 10pm-12am. That's 13 and a half hours if your keeping score at home, LONG and away THE most hours of produced local news hours in Southern Nevada. I recorded the open and close to the first 7:00 p.m. newscast from that night:
  24. Doesn't bother me. Soaps isn't needed anymore in this day and age.
  25. Actually, they got into the FAST realm before FOX Weather. Its called LiveNOW from FOX.
