Asking the same as well.

I'm starting a DISCLAIMER in 2017 that will credit sources for information. It'll be mentioned at the end of every post that I get info from and the WOLF story is a prime example. Other than that, I thank you. :-)
-
Her LinkedIn page shows that she anchors the 6:00 and 11:00pm news for WNWO 24 in Toledo and thinking that she now does the 10:00pm for WOLF-TV 56 in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, I think they do those out of a secondary set within WSBT 22's studios, if its now done at WSBT 22.

I did so because all of you guys are just amazing people. 10X more so than the stupid NYE shows on TV.
-
Or just do what I do every NYE... NOT watch the shows and find something else instead. SportsCenter maybe? I watched them instead.

After 11 years of having a circular theme, BBC One replaces those idents with new idents that resemble "oneness." Still no globe and I guess the globe look that the circular themes had is now gone. a516digital has more on the story.

After the acquisition of UTV Ireland by TV3 and Virgin Media for €10 million, UTV Ireland is expected to become female-orienated "be3" on Monday the 9th of January. Also, a new "news hub" will debut called 3 News Ireland. That will launch on the same day and I'm not sure what that will mean, but apparently it will be for all three channels (TV3, 3e and be3) and it may mean more news but again, I'm not sure.

Sorry for the double post. WTVR on Facebook: "No that is not true Roly. CBS Evening News at 6:30 is not going anywhere." I hope that answers your question.
-
Asking WTVR right now for confirmation. Will let you know when I hear back.

Just checked TV listings and NWCN will go sign-off and be off-the-air for good on Friday January 6th, 2017 at 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET The last three hours will be Northwest News Today from 4:00-5:30pm, followed by the NWCN 20 special that was already aired earlier this year at 5:30pm and the hour-long Northwest News Evening Edition at 6:00pm will end the channel's 21-year history. If anybody has access to NWCN right now, please record the final few hours on its last day. It will be history to see because we won't see it again.

Very sad when I heard of this. I have watched him since forever. Sucks that he's now gone and was one of the good guys in the market.
-
As mentioned in the chat box... A brand new logo for Wilmington's WWAY 3, all in preparation for WWAY receiving the CBS affiliation on DT2. The letters aren't bad, but the 3 looks so 80s-ish.
-
So basically, WJW is the winner. And I 200% agree. They do everything right.

I hope you don't guys don't mind sharing me the KONG logo history on here and I apologize if its in the wrong thread, but there's a reason why I'm doing it. You'll see in the end and this is according to Logopedia. First logo and cheap at best (1997-2005) Second and most recognizable logo (2005-2016) For some reason, they introduced a new logo in Mid-2016 to get rid of cable/OTA channel numbers (2016) And now, just recently, the logo has changed so here's the brand new logo and shouldn't surprise any of us... (2016-present) So KONG has changed its logo and look though I'm not sure how it looks like on TV since I don't live in the Seattle area.

TEGNA Broadcasting and Digital General Discussion
TheRolyPoly replied to ABC 7 Denver's topic in Corporate Chat
I think the worst cut was letting Tammie Fields go. She has stuck through a lot of WTSP's downs and other than Reg, was the most consistent anchor in that lineup. No wonder why Heather Van Nest left early and for good reason.- 3687 replies

At least The Talk has had a constant cast of hosts... Julie Chen, Aisha Tyler, Sharon Osbourne, Sara Gilbert and Sheryl Underwood. I've watched more of The Talk in the last year than The View in the last 10. That's how good The Talk really is IMO.
-
A huge disappointment. I use them all the time for breaking news. It will now have to be AP on my phone for that.
-
Weren't they together on the latter program for FOX 5 Atlanta?
-
And I wonder what WISN has to do with GMA? Answer.. NOTHING.
-
I'll report on that in an hour on my blog. I'll report on it tomorrow. Its the second 4:00pm newscast in the market, just after WJFW 12's "NewsWatch 12 - Up North at 4:00" which debuted last year.
-
Yeah thats true but look at the positives and see that WUPL will still be carrying the entire block so its not like you have to switch channels if you want to. But for sure, Channel 4 is where the majority of the viewership is so it'll be a tough act to follow with this change.
-
But the entire 4:30-9am block will now be seen on WUPL Channel 54, so its not like the continuous block is dead or having to split and click channels after a certain point.
-
Sorry to double post but he's right. TV listings show that.
-
Btw, WWSB 40 in Sarasota recently expanded their 7:00pm news to a full hour so its getting there.
-
Some stations already do that at 7:30pm in the East Coast, mainly Raycom's WAVE 3 in Louisville and WCSC 5 in Charleston.
