  1. I mentioned it in the chatbox... KSWL-LD 17 is the new CBS affiliate for Lake Charles. Signed on air on Feb. 15th and is in 1080i HD. Owned by Wayport Media, which also owns WPBI-LD 16 (FOX/NBC) in Lafayette, IN. It hopes to carry local news in the future, which is also true for WPBI-LD. This now leaves ABC as the only TV network left without its own dedicated Lake Charles TV affiliate, since all others are available including PBS.
  2. And even though WSFL airs NewsFix in which I don't watch, WSFL is well run but will be ruined if Sinclair takes over.
  3. Oh god no. If Sinclair buys the major ones, say goodbye to WPIX, KTLA and WGN as we know it. Sinclair ruins everything and these stations will be no different. If Tribune goes away, these stations are ruined.
  4. Because those computer problems could be devastating if not fixed and could cause WJAR to lose its top spot. I'd tell you, I wouldn't watch a newscast with problems continuing through it.
  5. He's right and I know. Ive been to that market several times.
  6. Sad considering that WJAR has been #1 in Providence since forever.
  7. J.C. Monahan is leaving Chronicle and WCVB altogether after 15 years. First mentioned by the Boston Herald and later confirmed by J.C. on her twitter page @jcmonahan
  8. Pretty sad if you ask me.
  9. I think I called it in the media predictions thread. I knew it was going to happen, just when and when is now.
  10. What the morning news does is the reason why I love WGN. No matter how much the show sucks or how bad the quality is, its STILL #1 so suck it! Took the words right out of Konrad.
  11. I know but which ever one you choose, still... There's only ONE WGN.
  12. That's right. There's only ONE WGN.
  13. Back on-topic here... I hope Linda Church enjoys her retirement. I wish her all the best. Defintely rewarded for her 16 years on the morning news. Unfortunate that WPIX continues to struggle unlike KTLA and WGN.
  14. When did they start operating WATM and WWCP? At last check, they never did.
  15. I wanna cry after seeing that picture. I miss CNN Headline News and that format so much. That's the one channel I wish it went back to its original format.
  16. I'm not too crazy about it. It was better when it was TV3.
  17. Well they got WDCQ 19 (Bay City), WTVS 56 (Detroit) and WKAR 23 (East Lansing) so no problem to fill the niché.
  18. Or if you watch Darts... Phil 'The Power' Taylor.
  19. Agreed. Its the reason why WJW keeps on winning and winning and winning in Northeast Ohio.
  20. I more like 3TV as "The Place with More News." (Pun intended)
  21. Duh because the Patriots are there too.
  22. WBRE/WYOU, KAMC and KFDX/KJTL are also on Roku.
  23. As always... love the last open because of the music. But wow... surprised KCNC used Newswire. But now that can fill the missing open in the NMSA database for KCNC.
  24. I know it was reported on the XETV/KFMB thread, but this article from The San Diego Tribune has pointed out that KFMB/Midwest Television will more likely be adding local news on the CW subchannel at the same times as XETV's except weekdays 5-7am and weekends 8-10am. http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/entertainment/tv/sd-et-television-20170126-story.html
  25. They still have them for now but possibly after March, it may go away. Once done, KCRG will be the only one left with it.
