I like how she says more for FOX and NBC when its only just more for FOX since the NBC side lost early-evening weekend news. Plus, it looks like its everything KADN and not KLAF like under the previous branding.

So you're saying that Nashville (4 stations at 4am) or Indy (3 stations at 4am) offers #TooMuchNews? I'm not surprised WFLD is going to it because eventually, I can see all of Chicago and more stations in more markets going to 4:00am. I'd bet you complained when everybody started expanding to 4:30am. But look at it now... the majority is up at 4:30am so going to 4:00am won't be a surprise for me. Oh and its four if you count CLTV.

Dont be surprised. WGN has been waking up Chicagoans at 4am for 6 years plus CLTV wakes up at 4am every day.

I've been told on Facebook that that's not true and that WCAV will continue to produce news every weekend. This is what WCAV told me: "Thanks so much for asking, because you can’t believe everything you read on the internet. We are doing news on CBS 19 from our Charlottesville studios this weekend just like every other weekend. We have the Final Four on Saturday, so don’t miss that, and then catch the news at 10 on WAHU Fox27 or 11 on CBS19. Thanks for asking!" I got confused in word choice so they clarified it for me... "I think there may be some confusion here in word choice. The point is that we do the news every weekend. In my previous message, I meant “every other” in the sense of “all prior weekends,” not “every other” as in “alternating.” So, we’ll have the news, just like normal, this weekend, and all weekends. Thanks!" In other words, life goes on for WCAV and they're still doing their own on weekends. However, the only true tell way to know for sure is by watching WCAV this weekend at Newsplex.com

Sorry to double post but god bless him. What a delight for WDAF to have had him for so long. Wendall Anschutz (KCTV) and Larry Moore (KMBC) are right there with him as the best of the best.

Congrats to WGN! This is really well deserved. More wins for WGN should be coming. They have a really well polished news product and mornings bring an example to what WGN can do to win. Of course they won't dethrone WLS, but any wins for WGN is great news, considering that most can't watch WBBM or WFLD. Good for the 'ol No. 9!

If that happens, expect WJW to have 10, 15 or even 20% share on most of its newscasts. Idk who'll become second from there on because WOIO is just not there to affect ratings and WEWS has went straight to hell under recent Scripps strategies. WKYC is good now at second place but if Red Seat Ventures comes through, its over for WKYC and may drop to third or even fourth. Now I wish Gannett never had that breakup.

Not without Bounce on DT2 but if anything, they can as long as Bounce goes to DT3 and gets rid of Grit.
