In terms of the race at 4:00 p.m. in DFW, between KXAS, WFAA and KTVT, the winner is... NEITHER. Instead, it goes to KXTX. Winners in July REGARDLESS OF LANGUAGE. Another Telemundo station taking another win.

Is the Corporation de RTVE (Radio y Television Espanola) in trouble? Spain's public broadcaster (La 1, La 2, Canal 24h, Teledeporte y Clan + Radio Nacional, Radio Clasica, Radio 3, Radio 4, Radio 5 y Radio Exterior) is seemingly running out of money, due to a lack of a budget from the Spanish government (which owns RTVE) and also because of political instability (literarry. Catch the podcast "Que?" from El Pais, Spain's national newspaper. Really good btw.). Not to mention, it has suffered its lowest ratings in history. Right now, RTVE doesn't have the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games rights and according to the article, La 2 Noticias may come to an end as a result. https://advanced-television.com/2019/07/22/rtve-hindered-by-lack-of-funds/

And yet, those three stations you've mentioned as examples are still #1 in their markets and by longshots too.

KOLN and Gray Television are the 100-lb gorillas in Lincoln. It's not just KOLN in the market that Gray has, but seems like a gazillion stations in that area they own, including KSNB, KCWH and god what else they got.

That last clip... that must have started Rachael Ray's career, right then and there without even knowing it.

Well... it looks like public broadcasting in the Rio Grande Valley will become no more once KMBH drops PBS under Entravision. They don't even have an NPR outlet right now after what was the NPR outlet was sold to a local religious broadcaster and became a religious station. So yeah... not good.

Or a Good Day as 3TV used to have an 11:00 a.m. newscast called Good Day Arizona.

That's been their 6:30 a.m. half-hour newscast of GMET for a few years now. -
Yes! Anytime there's a KTLA MN or a WGN MN special, I'm all in.

It's an article from 2017 What does this have to do with WABC Channel 7?

I prefer that over infomercials any day.

Speaking of CTV... CTV is shutting down a slew of rebroadcast transmitters across Canada and will be finished by 2021. No surprise since CTV wanted them shut down a decade ago. Four are repeaters of CKY Winnipeg while two are repeaters of CTV Northern Ontario. http://www.northpine.com/blog/2019/07/30/more-parts-of-canada-to-lose-broadcast-tv-service/

Actually, so does KFSN with their return of producing a newscast for KAIL which launched an hour-long 8 p.m. newscast back in September 2018.

I'm watching past WNDU newscasts via SBTV. It's confirmed. The morning newscast is now 16 Morning News NOW while its 5:00pm news is now 16 News NOW LIVE. Every other newscast is pretty much 16 News NOW (at XX:00) and also, the LIVE. Local. Late Breaking. slogan only appears at 6:00pm.

IKR? I just wish WJXT would expand their noon news to an hour already. Unfortauntely, Look Local at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesdays prevent that from happening (though it hasn't run on WJXT in sometime, according to TitanTV).

A brand new program is coming to WJAR's airwaves starting September 3rd that'll replace that boring informerical slot at 12:30 p.m. https://www.facebook.com/studio10wjar/

Here we go! KJTV has become FOX O&Oinized... Music and knock-off L3s and everything.

WKBT La Crosse's Lisa Klein said goodbye to the station last week after nearly 22 years. https://www.news8000.com/news/wkbt-s-lisa-klein-says-goodbye/1096499307 KXMC Minot's Jim Olson is saying goodbye tomorrow after delivering sports at KX Television for 33 years. https://www.kxnet.com/good-day-dakota/someone-you-should-know/someone-you-should-know-a-farewell-to-jim-olson/

a.k.a. Face The Nation.

We will soon have a French equivalent of CTV in Canada as Bell Media is acquring V, the third-place network long behind TVA (#1) and ICI Radio-Canada Tele (#2). http://www.bce.ca/news-and-media/releases/show/Bell-Media-to-Acquire-V-Network-and-Noovo-ca-1

Btw, if you watched that KNXV video link you provided, they may have shown some attention to their competitors, KTVK and KPHO as the chopper showed one of their news vans and the copter was like... woah. We're done. We're getting out. Sorry for going off-topic but... lmao. It deserves a laugh.

Well, guess where I'm going to to get my news online from Fargo... VNL.

Actually, the 10pm news is live on KOFY too, just like the 9pm. How do I know? When you look at KOFY's titantv listings, when it says "ABC7 News 9:00PM (or 10:00PM) on KOFY" that way, it meant the newscasts were live. If it says "ABC7 News on KOFY 11:30PM", it meant a repeat of a recent newscast. In this instance, the way you're writing this and the way I look at it, it looks like both the 9 and 10pm newscasts will be cancelled to make way for that live Dance Party at 10pm. This means that KGO will no longer have a live newscast on KOFY for the first time since 2007 when the 9pm news first premiered. And the hour-long 7pm news will just be a repeat of KGO's 6pm news. It already repeats their 11pm news at 11:30pm.

Well, WSOC is currently 6-8am on Saturdays and Sundays with WCNC's being 6-7 and 9-10am on Saturdays.

Fox Television Stations - General Thread
TheRolyPoly replied to ColDayNews's topic in Corporate Chat
Fixed. WRC is outright the leader from 4-7 and 11pm. Other stations just struggle. Period.
