  1. KUSI...No Mo Turko Waaaaaaaaaa No more Michael Turko and the Turko files... http://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2018/3/23/done-in-socal Bet ya all didn't know he has a giant pony-tail that he hid all these years.... Well now you know. Turko Theme Song
  2. I saw in an old book about TV, where they (people) used to have to get up and walk to the TV to change the channel. That was before the world was in color ...in the olden days.
  3. The cooler runs about $300... But beware of Knock-offs.
  4. Does it have a straw included? I like those with HD plastic straws some of them come with, but I would need a line on replacement straws. And NO....fast food straws are too short and brittle...and those long red 7-11 big gulp straws crack too easily, and the green ones are too short. And just to stay on topic... I will need the straws for my Yeti when I watch TV News. "Create More...Complain Less." (Shell Rotella Commercial)
  5. You can talk about domestic abuse all you wish. The rest of us are talking Yeti's... "Yeti's don't hurt people...people hurt people."
  6. Not my fault you are too cheap to own a Yeti... It certainly is a higher end item in the go-go world of hot and cold storage. Save your money boy.
  7. "With Yeti...You Knock'em Cold'.
  8. Quote from the KFMB stations... "The silence is deafening around here". BTW... I LOVE the avitar you have! I would love to find a clip of the "XETV -...Ole !" jingle or ID from those post ABC years.
  9. KFMB is still world now and copyrighting Midwest TV for now. They DID yank the jobs page on the KFMB site.
  10. Oh what fun we would all have if Nielsen and ComScore tracked political affiliations and made it it's own measured demographic. Get ready.
  11. Wow... Look at this long form stuff on the KGTV site... I think it looks really good. https://www.10news.com/longform/chula-vistas-ghost-town Anyone else seeing these at the other Scrapps stations?
  12. The ftvlive game cannot be played without the cooperation of the broadcast talent agents. Scott won't tell you that part.
  13. KGO TV was just sued by talent in a similar type case...ND was named in the suit. http://richliebermanreport.blogspot.com/2018/02/kgo-still-hasnt-made-announcement-on-gm.html Numerous other stations across the country are being sued by talent...for age discrimination. It happens everyday. There are plenty of good reasons why you DON'T just lop-off the heads of the departments. Very solid strategic reasons are behind these decisions. If we fire her...she can go rouge. If we keep her on staff...we still have almost complete control. The WABC case is pretty standard fare as far as employer/employee suits go. ...and the best part is... None of us will ever know how it ends...unless there is a stipulation making any settlement public... I wouldn't bet on that stipulation becoming true.
  14. ...and every news director gets sued at least a few times...no matter the market size. I would go as far to bet the lawsuits have NOTHING to do with anything. ABC and it's affils are sued every single day of the week for all kinds of reasons.
  15. You have to rule with fear in NYC. That's just the way it is .
  16. Way to chase that younger demo... What is it with these twinks lately?
  17. Who's gonna babysit them the other 22 hours each day? The rest of the day they just vape and pop pills.
  18. Oh Brudda... Robert sez's... "Stupid fired civil defense worker git job at Island News...he sit on station Twitter keyboard during disaster drill. He scare me, da Howlies, Auntie and da rest of di Island".
  19. I would biopsy that thing...it may be cancerous.
  20. He has some nerve pulling that ...and to think I went to bat for that (Williams) guy.
  21. Ok cool... But I see that as a growth market with all the people getting the hell out of CA. Now can your growth in population translate into growth for your OTA signals and other "platforms'. Will viewer erosion take a bigger toll? Are those stations all dogs??? Or is there some hidden gems there?
  22. He is just like his father Thurston Howell III . His father was quite the survivor and so was his mom. I was always amazed at how both of them could pack so much into such small suitcases. His Mom and Dad are still missed...and fondly remembered to this day.
  23. Of course... The corporation asked nicely for a donation. However the union just took it (your money)...as a condition of employment. A donation is not mandatory in the case of Sinclair and it's desired pac. A union member has NO choice as to where the dues go, and for what "cause". As you were.
  24. Like labor unions do?
  25. Cuz God forbid a Sin-clair ND should catch a case of "ethics"... (grabbing my pearls)
