Julius you should understand something... Sometimes the anchors get in a pissy mood... ...and they take it out on viewers like you. They KNOW you are talking smack behind their backs because they can SEE and HEAR you thru the TV screen. Amazing what today's TV sets can do. Once you stop watching...they will buck-up and start saying "goodnight" and "have a pleasant tomorrow". Did you know In England they say "Cheerio" to the happy viewers? How cool is that Julius? Maybe a CW or METV newscast would be better suited for you? Our point is they ( the FOX 29 News Anchors) don't like you.... ...they were gonna fire you as a viewer anyway. Sorry for the bad news.

To prove that TV weather is more accurate and more friendly than internet or smartphone weather. It's one of the few beaches left where the weather battle can still be fought. Root for them...or they may just be gone soon and replaced by some AI app named "Doris"..

If I was his lawyer I would advise him to resign yesterday. You have a difficult time convincing judges and jury you have suffered damages if you stay . It's like domestic violence cases...you get the heck out of the situation first. You don't stick around any longer hoping things will get better. Leaving sends a very clear message that you are serious

Are you judging the fine folks at WPTZ ? You are pre-shaming those poor future overweight newsworkers with your predictions of obesity and gluttony. Do you think Ben and Jerry will buy some time on WPTZ...or sponsor the Health Minute? Is Gluttony a word?

It would have been easier for her to slip the sales punks $100 and buy an entire :60... Right before the kicker.
-
It's not his fault... But he is sure gonna get the blame. You can't blame the sale weasels...you can't blame the set or graphics. CBS should adopt my "End of News Days" final newscast format. "The incredibly non-biased multi-gender liberally-conservative quasi-woke international-action-eyewitness news-team..." or tinbmglcqwiaent That's it folks...after this format it's all over.

Must be nice to have a station ice maker... At KBEX-TV we fired our station Ice maker due to budget cuts. Now we have to drink straight outta the bottle... We even told "Dan Dan, The Transmitter Man"...that he could drink and drive in the KBEX live unit... But only if he used the cup holder. (rimshot)

There are NO unbaised newscast anymore. I'm telling you what is selling right now...and what is not. Yes it's totally political. As a station GM I think dollars... You think politics...and that's how I make money. When "democrat and left" is hot and selling....I will tell the KBEX sale weasels to sell left. But right now..."Right" is "Hot". ask ABC. Why don't you all ask Jeff Zuker what the viewers are watching. I don't tell the viewers what to watch. I just try to make (and take) all the money I can from both sides....and currently the fat white guys with guns are buying ad time....and watching TV. Let me tell you a little story... George Soro's just pulled out of a 1.5 million dollar ad buy in San Diego where he was pushing a candidate for local District Attorney. Do you know how many :30's that is??? ...and the worth? http://freebeacon.com/politics/soros-drops-1-5-million-san-diego-far-left-district-attorney-candidate/ That's a hell of a lot of money going into TV ads that suddenly got yanked because somebody didn't think that was worth it . The left is just too fragmented right now, and they don't have any direction for advertising with lack of messaging. Plenty of "appointment viewers " still out there. Think of all the old people stuck in rest homes...watching FNC and Lawrence Welk...just dying for election day when the bus will come...and the seniors will go vote. People "age in" to more conservative views when they decide they want to keep most of their remaining dollars. The boomers still have 20 years to bloom.

The CBS news bias has cost them viewers. Same with CNN....same with many other left skewing news operations. Just like the NFL...conservative viewers just don't care for the CBSEN product. I'm 1000% positive the suits at CBS already know this. MSNBC picks up the majority of the cable left...leaving CNN "crumbs". FNC, OAN, Newsmax, Sinclair and some others see that conservative TV has many , many viewers who are on ALL platforms. That's why you see those operations (conservative) expanding...except maybe "The Blaze". Is "Political Affiliation" a Nielsen / Comscore demographic yet? How about LGBT as a Nielsen / Comscore demo? The CBS product is the problem...not the presenter.

Well son you may be suffering from an overdose of news... http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2018/06/05/almost-seven-in-ten-americans-have-news-fatigue-more-among-republicans/ But there is no cure...and we are all gonna die.

Admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery. 11 steps left. Enjoy!

At least the guy got to pen a nice goodbye post. Does he control that twitter ID or is that an NBC branded thing?

Sinclair Broadcast Group - General Discussion
Eat News replied to Smitha A's topic in Corporate Chat
Kids programming is taking a dive on TV just like he rest of traditional appointment TV. Maybe there is not much interest. -
Nobody thought Scripps would try to launch a national newscast... just saying... If there is a pending race to grab up conservative viewers, you can bet a national product will be highly considered if Sinclair rolls one out. Everyone is just trying to hold on to viewers right now. ..so if there is a fight for the conservative ones you can be assured all stops will be pulled out. Everything will be on the table... Even a network newscast .
-
They would do it as a reactive move to Sinclair rolling out a national newscast. Lets see how long syndicated fare flies once it's game-on in the fight for conservative eyeballs. Not planning for the possibilities would be unwise and short sighted for all players. FOX has plenty of NN "templates" ready to deploy if needed.
-
I wonder if Sinclair will put pressure on FOX to launch some form of nightly national offering...in whatever form it takes. CBS is a freaking mess right now...SF and Philly are in the crapper...same with most the other CBS news products. And the crazy lawsuits... Run!

And those doors have nice knockers... For knocking on doors... of course.

That's why we have vices... drinking... drugs... candy crush... call of duty... Ok, ok... I watch LMAD and TPIR...but only for the "visuals".
-
Well while you are begging for money from the network to produce those game shows... Enjoy this 3rd hour from your friends at ABC. Sorry... No game shows.

What can you say? They were performing a job and public service and lost their lives in the process.... Not like the BBC ever sent a crew into danger (Iraq) and lives were lost. Nothing good will come from this....there is nobody to blame. It's a sad chain of events that only could have been prevented by staying home. ...and if you would have asked those guys if they wanted to stay home that day...they would have laughed in our faces.
-
In addition to being an MMJ... They probably wanted him to wash the station windows and do the landscaping maintenance between vo-sots and face-tweets. A man has his limits.
-
All of them are morons for thinking that you can be "safe" at a shooting scene. You want safety??? Stay the heck out of the area. The reporter has a choice to be there. Buy some kevlar if you are concerned about getting shot. And if you (as a manager) are concerned about LIABILITY then don't send the reporter into harms way...period. When you cover breaking news YOU assume all risk involved....not your stupid boss.

Longtime local TV anchor Cathy Clark dies...KFMB.KCST,KUSI (and friend of KBEX-TV) Anchor /Reporter passes away... She was one of the NewsEaters...and one of the best in the biz. Thanks for everything. She will be missed. http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/news/public-safety/sd-me-cathy-clark-20180524-story.html

Good news... Hanna was found! Alive ! Unharmed! She is still at KGTV and still the military reporter. She was never missing....I just didn't look hard enough and somebody else ( I can't say who ) found her...and emailed me. Dopey Me! I'm sorry for the mistake and hope her family is not mad at me. She was not abducted by navy seals...or bears. I have learned a very valuable lesson about "being first".
