Maybe Gene and Chase Cain can be roomies...and share war stories of the tough ladder they both climbed to the "top"...or share Chihuahua grooming tips. KFMB must really suck if people are ditching full-time gigs for questionable L.A. gig's with no bennies and a cash take-home of about $220 per day before taxes and insurance.

Freelancing at KCBS....how glamorous does it get? Interesting choice. There is a lot more to this that I need to process.

These segments don't just schedule themselves... Somebody in traffic places those into the computer to run at a designated time. They run where the computer and management say's to run. It's entirely possible the GM or ND HAVE ASKED to run those at those times. If I was in that position, and wanted those to run in the early 4:30am slot...I would say this first... "We have hard news...and all our inventory is sold out for all our shows." ....no defiance...none. I guarantee you with those words, that corporate would allow us run those in a "throwaway show" or in some other late-night slot. Anyplace where it does not disrupt paid spots...or "real" news coverage. That's all you have to do is justify the move, these people are not stupid, they understand the mighty ad dollars. So you all should get it out of your heads that local Sinclair management is permitting some kind of local defiance...cuz it ain't happening. You can bet when the next big election cycle hits that those 'must runs" will creep into the main newscast...and be featured in nice slots....like just before weather. (God bless Chris Manson the former national ND for Sinclair who recently passed...He was a fine man, and a wonderful father. he will be missed.)

And the transfer of pharmaceutical licensees and approvals are NOT complicated and full of delays? But I get your point. I think the delays will only help Sinclair...kinda like the way delays worked for the Rocket Boy of the North. Reminder: I'm against the Sinclair deal... not because of politics...but because I believe in LOCAL ownership. I support free speech for all...not just a few.

The Rite Aid /Wallgreens merger proposal is into year #2...so companies do expect delays to occur. Delays cost money...so let's just wait and see if Sinclair is really into this for the long run.

The log in master control says "Chatting With Boris" runs at 7:47:30...that day. But you run "Friskies Catfood" commercial at 7:47:30....an not Boris. You note the "discrepancy" on the log. in the section marked "reason for discrepancy" you write down "refuse to run". The next day you get summoned to the traffic office where they ask "why didn't you run Boris when the log said to do so???" What are you gonna say to your boss??? "Uh- I didn't feel like it???" duh There will be no "Kumbya" singing...not sit-in's...no signs made of cardboard...no chants. Just a trip out the door with the HR lady and your box of personal crap from your locker...and your last pay check. No little newsroom uprisings...if you don't like how the place is run...you can leave.

Corporate Mandate= Do the job you were hired to do It's a condition of employment that they play the programs on the log. Stop with the drama. Nobody is being forced to do anything. They don't like it...they should look for work someplace else...like real adults not a bunch of whiny children. There are PLENTY of jobs that pay more...with less drama.

I love it...:"Forced"??? Who was forced to run Pro Trump programming? The writer gets an "F" for failing to show any example of someone being forced to run a program. Did they tie up the master control op and hold a gun to his head??? The whole article is a bit OTT...send in Godzilla....such drama. How about they just change the channel?

It looks good because they were provided a complete set of plans. Who sold them the plans? Russians? They didn't just copy it from some screen grabs and a trip to Home Depot. The "News Set Cartel" of the eastern bloc is alive.

Thank God RLTV is gone... That channel was getting way too racy for me with it's almost foul language and overly sexual content.

KGTV's 10 News is now blocking the Ad Blockers...no easy X-through. It's Gods way of protecting us from more fake news.

I bet since all the power was out, they couldn't keep all the news cold. Cold opens are best served at or below 40 degrees. Don't leave your opens out in the direct sun...they can spoil very quickly...and cause illness.
