  1. KGTV: Renee Nelson is back...looking fine...tan...and fit. Got a little new hair action happening. She meets all current expectations.
  2. I really think Boris needs to consider changing his name. Only a suggestion.
  3. The owner(Wealth-TV ) has pissed off and sued so many cable operators that nobody will carry them. I have been inside the operation, and have a few insiders there. It's a LOW budget operation. It's "bring your own paper clips" low budget. They wouldn't want to even spring for Greta's monthly parking on the hill. My local 7-11 has more employees...and pays much better.
  4. I bet we see a lot more of these "failed waivers" in various forms. It's a "slippery transmitter tower ladder" (slope) that is just ripe for abuse. Something tells me there will be many stations "about to fail" in the very near future.
  5. He would be happy to accept more...but the taxes on a million bucks is a bitch.
  6. Too bad that anchor was executed for missing his hard break... Waa Waa!
  7. No freaking way! There's not really a sewing channel... Is there?
  8. No, no, no please no, no no It's not good "waking up" music...it's fine everywhere else but not in the AM.
  9. The alligator would be the one to have the final say on taste... (Oh please...it's a bad carnivore joke...you set me up.)
  10. I'm asking myself if I would find her credible presenting the subject somehow. Is that something one just 'dabbles" in? Gotta admit I would watch, but could I give her a fair shake if she was defending or supporting? I don't know either.
  11. "Knock Knock..." "Who's there?" "Leah Remini and the folks from A&E...with a suitcase full of cash..." To be continued... hopefully.
  12. and WCAU is a union proud shop.

  14. It's the new parental leave laws. In New York i I think it's 8 weeks now for the parents paid time off. Dad, Mom...no matter.
  15. Ok... My Arco AM-PM had MSNBC...now it's CNN as of just recently. I used to see the 3rd string MSNBC anchor for a 15 second news update...then a Tonight Show clip...a promo...some thing for talkstoop...and then repeat the whole thing every 1-/12 minutes. It was somewhat tolerable. Now I'm stared down by Wolfie Blitzer for the 3-4 minutes it takes to fill a 23 gallon tank, and sometimes the volume is set real LOUD! Updated 7-5-17 The whole operation is run by GSTV....Gas Station TV. They also run a quick ESPN SC update...and a HLN Morning Express hit during the weekdays. All in the time it takes to fill the average 15 gallon tank.
  16. They want to promote CBS...not CBSN. The prime demo for TV is the same for fast food. Male 25-54
  17. The whisky it was founded on is 100 proof...that's all I need.
  18. See a pattern yet? Sam Champion Josh Elliot MK Greta... I'm sure there are more 'jumpers" that I missed.. Kill your career at NBC...but get paid a hell of a lot of cash. The strategy has worked so far.

    In Memoriam

Van Amburg the former KGO anchor and latter grumpy old man has died. Rich Lieberman has the deadly details.... http://richliebermanreport.blogspot.com/2017/06/415-media-news-alert-bay-area-tv-news.html and yes..., He was a fine man...yet grumpy...and had many friends and family members that loved him. Normally I would say "he will be missed"...but in his retired days... he became a Grumpy Gus, and didn't want any contact with anyone or anything TV or circle 7 related.
  20. Can't they just pick one of the leftover contestants from The Bachelor?
  21. Hewitt is a super policy wonk that plays to a super narrow but loyal (radio) following of dems and pubes. Is he toning that down on the TV show?
  22. Most FOX viewers are in nursing homes where they can't change the channel by themselves. In some cases when you let the old men have the remote...they watch inappropriate shows...like the Man Show and those jiggly game shows on Estrella TV.
  23. She was too legit for MSNBC...or maybe just too "L-Ron" for Phil and friends.
  24. Because we can't have her waiting tables.... NBG is baaaaaack! Here is the direct rip and read from ftvlive.....forgive me. All I have to say is her reporters and producers are old enough to be her and Gonzo's GROWN UP kids. Bako will never be the same...now excuse me while I try to swim up the Kern River. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Scripps has hired former LA News Director Nancy Bauer Gonzales. Bauer Gonzales was the former ND at KNBC and then jumped to KCBS/KCAL where she spent 9 years. For the past almost 3 years, she has been the News Director for a Spectrum (formally Time Warner) cable news station in the LA area. Now she's jumping from the LA home of the No. 2 market, to Bakersfield at market 126. She is married to KBAK Anchor David Gonzales, so this move will have her competing against her husband's station. Here's the internal memo that was sent to the KERO staff and obtained by FTVLive: Team 23, I am happy to announce that Nancy Bauer will be joining us as KERO News Director at the end of July. Nancy is moving here from the Los Angeles area where she most recently worked for Charter Communications, Spectrum News. Prior to that, the news executive spent 10 years as Vice President/News Director of KCBS/KCAL in Los Angeles. She was responsible for 65 hours of live local news per week and led a staff of 300 reporters, photographers and producers. She also oversaw construction and relocation to a new state of the art facility in Studio City, in the San Fernando Valley. Prior to that, Bauer served as Vice President/News Director of KNBC, the NBC owned and operated station in Burbank. During her time there, KNBC ranked #1 in all 7 weekday broadcasts, weekend news and sports programming. "It was a great time to be in TV news" Bauer says. "I was fortunate to lead our coverage of fires, floods, earthquakes, the OJ Simpson trial and the death of Michael Jackson. It was a tumultuous time in television news." Bauer is married and has a daughter who attends University of Notre Dame in Indiana. She has 2 dogs and 2 horses, and loves to ride for relaxation. Nancy will be here for our company picnic to meet everyone on July 3rd, and will begin work on July 24th. Please join me in welcoming her to Bakersfield's best news department! Adam F. Chase Vice President /General Manager KERO-23 ABC/ Azteca Bakersfield
  25. Alex Stone, ABC Radio News L.A. Bureau reporter voiced a TV package for the network feed over the weekend. No standup included, however it looks like some producer just had him track a straight package on the western fires directly off his radio script. I would guess if the union had an issue with this then we would hear from them...otherwise a good solid piece from Stone. Hope he gets more TV time in addition to his youtube and ABC radio stuff..
