  1. Even worse (despite the tweeter forgetting to put in the extra 0's) Sinclair (yes, the whole company) is over $12.5 BILLION in debt When they first bought the FSNs I was thinking to myself this could sink Sinclair because it was loaded with debt, very little non-sports programming to show for, even when the providers and streamers dropped them I was still at a maybe. Now that all of this and more from a couple of weeks ago came out about the RSNs this is now enough to even sink the whole company down. Something tells me that either Sinclair didn't even shift a single amount of money in debt from the company itself to Diamond or they shifted it to Diamond but the remaining debt from the RSNs has blosomed since they last did it.
  2. WPMI has been experiencing major technical difficulties here's an example of one of the tweets I came across regarding WPMI
  3. Word is via the Discord server it has impacted a few of the Sunday morning news here's what some of the Sinclair stations are addressing this Radars such as WWMT and WNWO have been down too and when I checked the website I couldn't access the full blown radar only the interactive radar was accessible.
  4. Sports Business Journal is reporting that Fanatics is looking to enter the sports media spector, specifically with the Regional Sports Networks What's really not necessarily mind-boggling is that Sinclair's Diamond Sports unit could be heading towards bankruptcy according to that same SBJ report.
  5. I'm just not sure that NBC will even offer that option to YTTV customers. However, they might actually do it. You never know
  6. Looks like they're pulling more than just the national NBCU channels, they're also threatening to pull local NBC affiliates from the service, per WRAL And the disagreements from what I've seen seem to be over the Peacock streaming service. So truth to be told I think this is a sign of the many changes people like Weeters and Myron Falwell envisions will happen to television as a whole in the coming years ahead.
  7. Given WATN is doing it, it wouldn't be that shocking to see WOI do the same tbh.
  8. I disagree with the Public Posturing. Sinclair as per usual is being greedy, they're even greedier with Dish now than they were with the streammers over the RSNs. Let's face it, without needed to show proof. Dish is essentially telling Sinclair to go pound sand with their ridiculousness. Dish isn't the only one to have had problems with Sinclair nor is this the first time Dish and Sinclair RSNs had problems (although the RSN side occured just before Sinclair could takeover the RSN assets), many of the streamers have had problems with Sinclair, which that's been well documented in this thread already, therefore I don't need to show you or anyone else "proof" of anything.
  9. Well let's look at their peers, Nexstar isn't commanding that much, Hearst isn't commanding that much, not one single media company that owns the local stations is commanding as much as what Sinclair wants to charge Dish. I'm sure Sinclair is factoring in the Bally RSNs to the what the fees would cost
  10. What's really bad if you're on Sinclair's side is this: Asking for nearly half a billion in fees That's clearly wayyyyyyyyyy too much
  11. The only thing from that article I disagree with is this I have serious doubts that Dish is as enough of an "outlier" as some think there are competitors like DirecTV and Comcast among others that are for good reason, keeping an eye on the Dish negotiations, failure to get this deal done will I believe, impact Sinclair's ability to negotiate with other deals Speaking of Dish, Charlie Ergen has basically come out and said that they're “not interested in taxing our customers” so that should tell us a lot right there.
  12. Some of the 1995-2003 Hearst news opens and talent rejoins have been put into one compilation. Also more KFOR goodness as well
  13. Sinclair has submitted a bid for the NBC RSNs per the NY Post
  14. Truth to be told. Absolutely no one. In the age of streaming and all of that I believe the only way how stations like KDNL and WTWC ever sees newscasts again on their stations is through regional consolidation of TV stations.
  15. There's always an option of not sharing the ones that you value of the most in your collections online if you don't want people to download stuff off of the sites.
  16. Yeah JCB and I talked about it briefly in the private chats last night and I honestly don't think that only offering one network and probably not changing the non-live sports content is worth the $23 a month tbh. This is a latest case of Sinclair getting too greedy yet again
  17. Sinclair raises $250 million for their new DTC streaming service per the NY Post
  18. Yeah Christian Dixie is the one who usually uploads all of that day/night's Wheel episodes. Opus used to upload that day/night's Jeopardy episodes but Sony of course got ahold of it and took the channel down.
  19. Tell that to Rosenworcel. Even Carr today called on the FCC to dismiss this complaint with prejudice "by the end of the day today" Sadly Rosenworcel and the D's will see this and use this to RKO Sinclair out. I can't believe I'm saying this but I actually feel bad for many of Sinclair stations that had absolutely nothing to do with this and yet they will ultimately be punished because of what WBFF "did" and I even feel bad for WBFF itself because they were doing its job of asking questions and holding people accountable and yet Mosby "felt rubbed the wrong way" and is asking the FCC to possibly take away its license to broadcast from WBFF. I definitely agree this shouldn't go anywhere but unfortunately this will likely be the topic for awhile.
  20. The RSN business model is changing and this move makes sense. However, both NBCU and Sinclair are going to have to be careful about taking their RSNs DTC because the streaming bubble could very well be on the verge of collapsing.
  21. Baltimore Sun reporting that the Maryland State AG's Office has submitted a complaint to the FCC requesting the agency to investigate WBFF for it's bias, inflammatory, slander among other things.
  22. Yep, even I have put Sony content on the Internet Archive as well.
  23. And you also can't cam record off of your device either (which is strange considering for certain shows that's the only way of doing it without getting the video blocked)
  24. Yeah any newer material stuff will absolutely without question be blocked. I know my channel viewers prefer more modern stuff but I can't upload modern stuff not because I don't like it or anything like that it's just that I can't take that risk like that.
  25. I'll chime in here since I'm one of the game show content uploaders here in this forum. I've seen other YouTubers that have uploaded Sony content and here's the thing about Sony: Sony is definitely relaxed if you were to say upload things like say the ending credits, intros things like that you can probably get away with saying the name of the game show without any issues and they for the most part never had any issues with uploading smaller type stuff, they did block them occaisionally but most of the time they blocked the more recent stuff. When it comes to uploading full episodes of Sony game shows mentioning the name of the show in the title and/or description is the quickest way of getting your channel terminated, by the same token doing things like what Sam Mitchell does with his "Mitchell Game Show Theater" and the late David Downs (R.I.P) did with "Fan Favorites" you'll notice the majority of them are all Sony stuff and overall what I've noticed is that if you were to occaisionally upload full episodes of Sony stuff, odds are you'd be fine, however uploading too many Sony Game Show episodes is asking for the channel to be taken down, in fact I might make an effort to at least make 1 or 2 uploads of Sony shows on my own channel and that would be it because I certainly don't want mine to be terminated for the things I just mentioned above.
