Yeah I absolutely hate it…. trust me KJRH has been doing scrippscast for a few months for the 10pm newscast the first part is live with some top stories live weather and live sports the rest is taped. Then the 4:30am is all taped except for weather.

KCTV 5 has switched to the new GrayONE graphics using new music as well and the slogan is Live. Local. KCTV5.

I was reading yesterday that the gold trimming around the puzzle board is supposed to be a nod to the puzzle board from the 80’s to the 90’s.

Just wanted to bring this up that part of the set that was in the downtown studio is now with the University of Oklahoma for the OU Nightly Newscasts they do for the students in journalism (news and sports) and meteorology.

They are back in the studio this morning.

Spencer Denton is leaving WMC in Memphis and heading home to Knoxville Tennessee as evening meteorologist for sister station WVLT.

Because it is. They are sister stations I think Lockwood is going to switch all their stations to have the same graphics.

Already happened they are officially broadcasting from the new building.

Also KYTX is using Weather Impact as of yesterday (Sunday the 7th).

WATN in Memphis is getting close to making the change but hasn’t made them yet as of 6am central time this morning.

Good KOTV deserves it I’ll be keeping my eye on it here in Tulsa.

Yep and yet sister station KOTV has a some what similar set to the old set from 2004-2022 from when they moved into their building in 2013. They are more desperate for a new set then KWTV but hopefully they will soon.

Yes but it would be nice for them to return to the FM side as they used to be.

Add KCEN, WBIR, and KIII to the list with the new Weather Impact and graphics.

Well KWTV is getting a new set the set they had was only 2 years old they are in Studio B until September.

Griffin Media drops their all sports radio 1170 The Blitz and replaced it with News on 6 Now which airs live newscast from CBS and CW shows and replays other news stories when News on 6 isn’t on air for a live newscast. Breaking News and Severe Weather Coverage will also air on KOTV-AM the flip happened this morning. All I know is the ratings for The Blitz wasn’t doing well and that is part of the reason for the change. This is the first time since the digital switch that KOTV is on the radio prior to the HD and digital switch they were on 87.7FM in Tulsa.

KHOU updated weather graphics banners as well and are also going as Weather Impact.

I’d rather see KTUL go to Hearst to be honest I don’t see Scripps ever selling KJRH.

God please do sell KTUL to a better company.

KTUL has their new Chief Meteorologist after Chris Nunley’s departure Kevin Coskren formerly from WRDW/WAGT he will start this week.

They switched at noon today.
