  1. Here in Denver I have noticed in the past 2 weeks, that the TODAY show doesn't begin airing until 7:01AM because of commercials and with it's long into now it doesn't technically start until 7:02. Anyone else notice this slight delay?
  2. Could it have something to do with computer systems & master control systems? Look at what nexstar is dealing with in terms of former tribune stations..
  3. Not a big fan of C Clarity, however anything is an improvement over KUSA's third street music package used between 1995-2009, that package was long in the tooth when it was retired. I would hope they could go for "The Rock" or "NBC LA Groove", but it's tegna media so what am I thinking.
  4. Yes it is Live from 10:30 AM Mountain Time until 6:30 PM Mountain Time. There are only 11 stations that don't air it live and have it in overnight time slots, the overnight slots are on: WBRC-TV, WTHR-TV, WLOX-TV, WBNS-TV, WXIX-TV, WTOL-TV, KKTV, KFDA-TV, KHOU-TV, KGNS-TV & WOVA-TV. Most of the stations that air it overnight appear to be Grey Television.
  5. KUSA now has a sports podcast at 9NEWS.com, not something i would expect from Tegna but it's not bad. There first episode was about the Altitude Sports blackout. (There is a thread for that over in the sports section)
  6. So maybe another newscast like KUSA's 'NEXT'
  7. So effective this morning on DirecTV the CBSe feed is no longer WCBS it is now WUSA & the CBSw feed is no longer KCBS it is now KFMB.
  8. KUSA Has E/I at 12:30PM on Fridays and that has only been since October. It's kinda weird.
  9. I have an over the air antenna, so all is good. They can keep it off of DirecTV for as long as they like.
  10. KCNC Was pulled at Noon MDT today, they were in the middle of airing a promo for an upcoming newscast and it went off.
  11. They say that CBS is blacked out on DirecTV/U-Verse I have DirecTV & KCNC is still on my line up (Around 1:50AM, MDT), Unless I missed something here.. Smithsonian & CBS Sports Network went off at 12:03 AM today.
  12. When I took a look at the KREX/KGJT website nothing is mentioned about being blacked out by AT&T/DirecTV and even the DirecTV promise website dosn't mention KREX/KGJT. However the KXRM-FOX21 website has the banner at the top talking about getting blacked out. Weird.
  13. KUSA added Cozi TV in December to it's digital sub channel (9.2) replacing Weather Nation TV. Today when I was out I noticed a billboard advertising Cozi TV on 9.2 & 25.3 Over the air & Comcast 249. I also noticed an ad on the side of a bus stop promoting Cozi TV, why dosn't KDEN-TV just drop Cozi and just have it on KUSA?? The KDEN signal is very weak on the south side of the Denver Metro area, while KUSA's signal covers all of the metro. If I were NBC Universal I would just move it over and be done with it-put another Spanish sub on to 25.3. I would think Tegna would be pushing for that to happen.
  14. Yes they stopped that in 2014 around the time they launched "The NOW Denver".
  15. KMGH has made some sub-channel moves on April 13th. KZCO-LD Aztecia America Colorado was taken off of 7.2 & replaced by Escape TV. On May 7th, 7.4 now has a blue screen saying programing is coming soon, i would assume this will be the new location for KZCO-LD? KZCO-LD & KZCS-LD are both listed in FCC docs as being licensed as of May 7th. Can anyone confirm or deny this? KTFD-DT meanwhile dropped it's .4 sub channel 5/7/19.
  16. I would have thought that KUSA & KTVD would have been hubbed out of Jacksonville a long time ago. Interesting! I wonder how that will affect DBL if at all?
  17. I know Tegna isn't as good as Gannett Broadcasting used to be, but I will say that some of their stations are usually on top of severe weather coverage. KUSA/KTVD, WXIA/WATL, WWL/WUPL do seem to be the first to have live streams up for severe weather coverage on their respective websites compared to other stations in the market. With that said, all Tegna stations could do a much better job at covering the NEWS than they do, to me it almost seems as if news coverage has become and afterthought and that's not good for anyone. As far as graphics go, this package they have on air now is really bland--I think they could have & should have done more.
  18. TexasTVNews, what is KWGN going to drop to carry Court TV? THIS TV Comet Charge! or will they launch channel 2.5. My guess would be they would drop charge!.
  19. I have seen a crawl on KDVR warning about a possible blackout on Charter & Spectrum systems in Colorado. Interestingly enough i haven't seen it on KWGN which is odd because they are Tribune, duopoly stations.
  20. I havn't heard of anything. (I Would think you would want to coordinate it with the other tv outlets so viewers only have to do it once)
  21. KUSA & KTVD are "Tinkering with there signals" therefore everyone in metro Denver who uses an over the air antenna is going to have to re-scan to receive NBC, WX Nation TV, MNTV, & MeTV. Engineers at KUSA/KTVD say this is due to a boost in power at the two stations to try and eliminate dead spots in the viewing area. As far as i know there the only 2 stations doing this on 12/7.
  22. DBL is starting to pick up viewers here in the Denver market slowly, but that's for it's 2nd live showing on KTVD, while NEXT on KUSA is way down from what the 6PM newscast used to be. KCNC's 6pm was ahead of "NEXT" the last 2 weeks of October.
