Fact Check time! KSTP's does use the new ABC logo- A quick scroll through the homepage of their website shows that... I counted 8 new ABC logos, 3 old logos. Since I watch their newscasts, click on any recent video and you will see the new logo used on all on-air graphics (except mic flags). And if we're bring honest, as small of a scale the ABC logo is the average/casual viewer probably doesn't notice or care about the change. Also- I'll go on the argument (again...) that it's not necessarily retro. The logo goes back to the red box/parallelogram a few times from the original inception. The most recent case in 2021, Fox9 switched to the new O&O look making every station's primary color a shade of blue (4, 5, 9, and 11). KSTP simply differentiated themselves by changing their color scheme to red/white/black.

What were you hoping for? NBCSN shutting down is kind of like a Kmart going out of business sale- Didn't have the money, inventory, or power to take down the top competition so it just fades into history

Lisa Budeau, who was a longtime anchor at KVLY until being dismissed last fall, has landed across town at WDAY. They're adding her as a third anchor in the same time slot she hosted at Valley News Live (5-7AM). I rotate between WDAY and VNL reasonably regularly. Don't worry.

They still simulcast mornings as "Valley News Live". I suffer through it most mornings.

Not sure if this is a Gray or CBS issue- but would someone tell KBJR (Duluth) to stop running the generic promo with Gayle King for "CBS This Morning" (old name, studio, graphics, plus it has Anthony Mason still as the co-host!)? That said, you wonder why the ratings still suck... The affiliates don't even market the correct show (and another tangent, KVLY to this day says "CBS This Morning starts next)

I'm curious to why the Gray logo has to be on the front of the desk? KOTA/KEVN have been adding it to their weather graphics as well (and not doing it well).

Say what you want about how overused packages are, I'm just proud that with Gray combining brandings in the Dakotas ("Dakota News Now" at KSFY/KDLT, "Valley News Live" at KVLY/KXJB, "Your News Leader" at the KFYR/KMOT...) that they've kept two separate identities this long in a small market like Rapid City.

The four-anchor format was interesting to try mid-week, but they seemed to have good chemistry. The question the bosses need to be asking- When you've replaced everything but Gayle, might it be time to try replacing Gayle? Nothing against her and I'm sure shes a great person, I'm just pointing out that they have changed every other co-host, Moved the studio, re-branded the show and she has remained the only constant. Then again, my argument for CBSEN echoes here... Someone has to be in third place. As long as the show makes money and sales isn't having issues selling it, then what's the point of another change?

Unless sales is having trouble selling enough to make it profitable? If Norah is so bad that the network is losing money, that might force their hand. Third place yet profitable shouldn't be an issue- Someone's gotta keep the bench warm

Please no. At least not every CBS affiliate. Major and Large markets sure... But please don't let the small markets into this mess.

I'll throw them a bone and argue that they're trying with Tony on the morning show... Gayle was off, he was in the center chair, and I stuck around for more than the Eye Opener!

The old CTM Eye Opener theme played yesterday and today. Trust me... I have to watch the thing six times.

It's still more of a promo for the 7:00 hour unfortunately.
