  1. Fact. "Today" has plugged the hell out of "Peacock" the last couple months on the show, and "CTM" loves having Simon & Shuster authors (co-owned with CBS) on regularly as well as giving rave reviews to that NFL game on Nickelodeon earlier this month. Is there anything wrong with plugging sister networks/companies? Of course not. But it seems to be happening way more than ever on morning TV.
  2. The major problem though is that on-air, these have been atrocious to watch. Animations seldom work (delayed, glitchy, animations seem incomplete), the quad-sreen over Morken's shoulder has been blacked out during the newscast all week (the screens themselves are not new- part of the studio re-design in 2012-ish. Is it software related? pre-mature rollout?
  3. So is this a subtle way of KSTP grounding "Chopper 5"? Last in the market with their own aircraft since WCCO/KMSP/KARE pool theirs...
  4. Almost certainly. They've dubbed him "AM Chief Meteorologist" for a while now.
  5. 43 years doing weather at one station... That's got to be a record right? Dave Dahl calling it quits at KSTP. https://kstp.com/news/kstp-chief-meteorologist-dave-dahl-retiring-after-43-years-at-5-eyewitness-news-october-29-2020/5910456/?cat=1
  6. In what world is CBS suddenly expanding/hiring? They just did a mass cleansing at their O&O's nationwide?
  7. Gray is launching 4:00 news on KVLY 11.2 (CBS/KX4) Fargo today. Displaces Judge Judy (Which already gets an hour earlier in the day on 11.1/NBC) Not the first 4:00 for the market- WDAY/ABC has had news in the timeslot for a couple of years now.
  8. Would picking WCCO make sense? O&O station, epicenter of what caused all the protests?
  9. Sven Sundgaard out at KARE/Minneapolis. Turns out TEGNA indeed has a problem with staff calling people "white nationalist Nazi sympathizer gun fetishist miscreants"
