It does not make sense to separate msnbc, cnbc, & USA from NBC. The other channels, I can understand getting rid of them.
-
Why is this show so popular? Especially to have it on for 3 hours.
-
As I asked in the other post for election coverage, Why doesn't MSNBC just focus on reporting on the actual news of the day, with indepth coverage of breaking news during evening hours, instead of just focusing on politics? The channel can put political opinionated programs, but I feel like they put way too much on the air. I try not to watch the news channels because they're too focused on these types of programs, but when I watch, I turn to msnbc, mainly because I watch NBC for regular news. The main issue with NBC and the other networks are that they don't provide additional reporting & coverage of important events of the day. It's only half an hour in the evening for the major news headlines of the entire country and maybe additional coverage in the morning. That' is why I hope msnbc & cnn would be an an outlet to provide that coverage. Fox News probably won't because what they're doing is not news, just viewpoints from certain personalities.

Is Derrin Horton still with KTLA? I have not seen him on air lately and his bio is gone from the station's website.

I agree. Will NBC bring back NBA Inside Stuff?

I agree in keeping msnbc. Cnbc, & USA network. If they can't sell the other cable channels, why not fold them into peacock itself creating brand themes in the streaming service with the cable channels names. The channels already built an identity for themselves, just continue with it online instead. By doing this, they don't have to program the chanels 24/7 with mostly rerun. Just focus on original programming with old episodes of the programs on the channels available for streamers to watch.

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/warner-bros-discovery-nba-settle-024933541.html So, WBD will get NBA games or just content? In terms of content, I am assuming highlights?

I was reardng the article thar mentioned msnbc as not being profitable that day, but I can't find that article online anymore. Has anyone else come across the article?

How about the other channels? Instead of selling them off, while not transfer those channels like bravo, e channel, & , etc to peacock like the person mention previously with universal kids above or move the most successful programs to USA, & shut those other networks down? I think by selling off the networks, it will create more issues for Comcast instead of being beneficial because they own channels like cnbc and msnbc, sharing the name with NBC. USA network has sports, so what are they going to do with the issue of the sports contracts? I thought NBC news was profitable, but to hear that msnbc was losing money, it didn't make sense. Why is that? Are the personalities on the channel making too much? For MSNBC, maybe move their prime time programs to CNBC between 7pm - Midnight, while CNBC keeps its' business news during the daytime with regular breaking news updates every half hour, if they plan to shut msnbc down. Basically, instead of owning a bunch of cable networks, they should just concentrate on 2 like USA & CNBC, while moving the rest to peacock or shutting them down.

Comcast is considering spinning off their cable networks. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/comcast-exploring-spinoff-cable-networks-124654274.html I wonder why they would so this. I would keep the most successful networks or programs and close the ones that aren't. Or turn them into streaming categories & put it on peacock.

I read that NBC may not want to renew Maria Taylor contract for long term. https://awfulannouncing.com/nbc/predicting-nba-lineup-tirico-wade-noah-eagle.html

Who will be the host of the NBA on NBC pregame, half-time, & post-game show? I hope Hannah Storm will be part of the coverage. She did a great job back then when NBC had the rights from 1990 - 2002. The main hosting duties will probably go to Maria Taylor.

I think knbc should bring back their old slogan, "the station working 4 you" & "coverage you can count on" as well as segments including 4 your health, 4 your money, & Just 4you. I also liked their theme music of the late 90s early 2000s. Does anyone think they should use these slogans, segments, & music as well again?

The network celebrated their 20 year anniversary, then shut down. -
They're also competing with Knbc & Kttv. Did kcbs have a 4am newscast before kcal start airing news at 4am or did their newscast start at 4:30am? Kcal started out with 4am newscast and now they recently canceled the 4am due to budget issues. Would this mean that they may reduce the news in the mornings even more in the future because of budget issues or due to ratings being low for the station to justify them airing news that early? I think they shouldn't have canceled the 4am newscast and find some other way to deal with the budget issues. I also believe that the ratings are not enough since there are so many stations airing news at the same time.

I notice that NBC did mention somethjng about it during the Olympics. Since Amazon mentioned about it during football, I have not seen NBC do that. I agree that both companies should probably wait a bit longer before mentioning abiut it to avoid any legal issues.
-
According to this article, it's probably either Craig Melvin or Laura Jarrett. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/savannah-guthrie-next-leave-today-175425284.html

I've already seen Amazon mentioning on Thursday night footnall that they'll get the NBA in the fall of 2025. Has anyone noticed NBC mentioning that they'll get their part of the NBA deal on Sunday night football? I haven't heard them announce anything yet on air.
-
I heard they were like fox, but further right. Imagine if they started their own national news network and put it on their own and operated stations.
-
I think they should promote Craig, but maybe add someone new as well. Tom Llamas would likely be the next choice. If they're going to hire presidential daughters, maybe give Malia Obama or Barbara Bush a try as well.
-
They just started the newscast just over a year ago and are now reducing the hours.
-
Is there another reason as to why she might be leaving?
-
Is there a reason for the cancelation of the 4am news? If they really wanted to compete with news, I was just suggesting they add more newscasts and move other programs to 9.6. I do believe there's too much news on tv in Los Angeles, but many of the other programs that are shown are not that interesting to watch.

I agree that ktla should have created a subchannel for ktla + and maybe they will in the future. I also think kabc should as well.
