Maybe they should rebrand kcop and put more local news on the station. If another company like Disney which owns kabc owned kcop, they would probably add more newscasts to kcop. Otherwise, fox should put or produce more shows like tmz on kicop.

If the stations are planning to add more news to their lineup, I think they could add more newscasts, especially on kcop. For the times & days, it could be on the weekends. In the weekend mornings on kcop between 7-9am, then the weekend early afternoon from 3-5pm before the newscast starts on kttv. For the weekdays, they probably are not going to add any more newscasts.

They could add more newscasts on the main kcal 9.1. For example, weekdays from 1-4pm. Move the court shows to kcal 9 plus - 9.6 or kcbs. Then, everyday from at 7-8pm. They're have so many family feud episodes airing everyday. Currently 7-8pm daily, plus 11pm till midnight weekdays. On weekends, they can add early afternoon newscasts from 3-5pm.

The Gates replaces the talk show. I was wondering if the show was still getting viewership, why didn't they just move it to paramount plus for streaming or put it on the other local CBS affiliate in certain markets for syndication?

I saw on TV listings that knbc is premiering a new program called Saturday Night Lights on August 31. I was wondering if it is produced by knbc or it's a general program following their college football coverage.

I think wbd needs the NBA more than the NBA needs wbd. Wbd should have taken care of the deal during the exclusive window they and Disney had with the NBA so that they wouldn't have to try to compete to keep the rights to the NBA with other companies.

What happened to Carolyn Johnson? I haven't seen her lately. For the anchor changes, think it's temporary with Brownlee & Williams.

The content was what I was referring to. Apple, Google, or Amazon could have offered amount that Redstone couldn't refuse for the TV & movie library the company owns. Plus the sports programming that CBS has contracts with.

I'm surprised a large tech company did not want to make an offer like Apple? A few years ago, rumors were thar Apple wanted to purchase Disney, which owns ABC.

I thought the new media rights deal was supposed to be announced before the finals were over. Why is it taking so long? If the show inside the NBA ends, then it ends. NBC should buy the rights to the show and air it on USA network. I think NBC, USA, & peacock will each air some exclusive games. I don't think they'll leave USA without NBA. NBC will probably get Sunday night games, USA will get the other prime time game, & peacock will get select games that are probably not in primtime.

I think he won't retire. There's so much $ & other potential offers that might be too much to turn down. I know he mentioned that he has his own studio. With a major investments from other major studios or just partnering with them to produce content will be tempting.
