newsie 11 Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 In Norfolk, WTKR. I was only able to get these right now. Their OTSs are actually good.
HoustonNews 0 Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Definitely KPRC. If I had some screenshots handy, I'd post them in a heartbeat, but as I don't watch the station much at all (due to the gfx and music) I don't have screenshots. Maybe someone else here will. If so, watch out. It's bad. Real bad.
Chief-O 34 Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 WFRV. Arial font. End of story. Not too impressed with WBAY's graphics either.
LoadStar 364 Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 WITI. Obnoxious in-house graphics, done in a garish tabloid style. Horrible, absolutely horrible.
RGSJenkins 435 Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 WABC L3's are the worst of the ABC O&O's. Just one ugly brick, it makes me sick.
Jterry 43 Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 WPTY/WLMT. They finally got rid entirely of their old package which probably was in the ranking for worst anywhere, but the new one still doesn't really cut it. Its in-house, and a select few elements are nice, but overall the entire look is way too big and obnoxious. And of course since they still haven't dropped PNP, its hard to make any graphics package work good with that. In the old version of the board I posted some screencaps when they first debuted, but since then, as they usually do, its been modified quite a bit. I'll have to try and get some newer screencaps up at one point, but you can see them anytime by going to their website and watching one of the video stories... http://www.myeyewitnessnews.com
ProButtonPusher 230 Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 WMBB and WJHG are tied. WMBB's are Media General (speaks for itself) and WJHG are in-house. None of the stations have bugs, and WJHG's logo on the L3 is HUGE WJHG: WMBB:
Andy B 0 Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 I'm in Tucson now, I would have to say FOX 11 - KMSB
jbrothers 1 Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 In our area its close, they all are pretty crappy. But the one that takes the title is WSIL. I hear however, that WPSD may get a new graphics update, although that may not be true.
RGSJenkins 435 Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 Indiana State News Center and Discussion! Damn Right!
Guest WaukeeDude Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 Indiana State News Center and Discussion! Damn Right! Co-agreed!
NewsRadioFan07 0 Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 ^Co-Co-Agreed! lol umm... lets see, KRON. nuff said 8)
clind 2 Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 Should I really co-agree, I think we all do around here . Anyway, I'm in a smaller market, but KEPR is probably the worst out here in Southeastern Washington.
lkwdcj562 0 Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 The brand new high def graphics debut on April 21,2007 on KCBS AND KCAL sucks right style wrong colors and fonts what a waste. Their previous graphics was so much better. What a shame!
mobilene 2 Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 WBBM WSBT WSBT's previous graphics were better than what they have now, but I still think they're better than WNDU and WSJV.
StormTrack8000 0 Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 KWQC http://www.northpine.com/broadcast/captures/ia/kwqc.html still using the same ones today..
Ntropolis 599 Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 WABC. 'Nuff said. Hmm... you sure that's your market?
Wisco TV Watcher 11 Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 In Green Bay, WBAY has the worst. There just isn't anything too special about them. Although WBAY isn't too bad compared to other stations in similar-sized markets. Here are a couple of screen caps: Elizabeth Ries can make any graphics look good, though. ;D In Milwaukee (not really my home market, but I do spend a lot of time there), take your pick. Basically anybody besides WTMJ. WISN isn't too bad, but they aren't great either.
Chief-O 34 Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 WBAY's graphics may not be GB's best, but out of the other stations with that package, they do---IIRC---the best job with it. Just look at WBKO's or WSET's interpretations of that package: Speeeeew. Even then, however, it does look "feh" for WBAY-----it also doesn't help when there are frequent misspellings and stuff not aligned properly across multiple graphics. I've said it before----with them using EWN now, new graphics should be next. I've mentioned not liking WFRV's current graphics at all. I kind of miss the green and gold package.
ncsuwxman 6 Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 Just look at WBKO's or WSET's interpretations of that package: Speeeeew. Even so, they are most definitely the best in the Roanoke market. Of course it helps when two of the stations are Media General variants, and the other one is the dominant #1 whose graphics don't even matter. On topic... I think worst would have to go to WFXR.
WAVY 10 Fan 233 Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 WVEC. If they don't do anything else, they need to get rid of that Aurora font (my main complaint).
