nynewsguy 66
@Net - I couldn't agree with you more. Gil is a terrific man, and a fantastic journalist and storyteller. He was a pioneering force for minorities in television news, and one of the nicest guys I've ever had the pleasure to meet and work with. Everyone at the station wishes Gil the fastest of recoveries. RGSJenkins 432
Gil Noble and his show "Like It Is" will not return. A new show for the African-American audience will be created soon. http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/tv/2011/09/28/2011-09-28_gil_noble_will_not_return_to_hosting_ch_7s_like_it_is_after_suffering_stroke_in_.html http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/2011/10/02/2011-10-02_like_it_is_is_history_and_end_of_an_era_in_tv.html
TellyGenic 32
This story in Tuesday's Daily News really made me sad: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/ny_crime/2011/10/11/2011-10-11_gil_nobles_fraudster_son_gimme_a_break.html
nynewslover 269
They are re-airing the "Like it Is" tribute this weekend.. Because Councilmen Charles Barron complained because one of his comments were left out and called it a "racial matter". It's very unfourtanate that a great man like Mr.Nobel is so sick and all this piece of crap is worrying about his comments being cut out. He really needs to get his priorities straight and worry about what is really important here.
