DMA 135
Shiba Russell just tweeted that WNBC's 5pm newscast will debut today, 8/29, instead of the planned 9/12 debut. abric 178
I'm not surprised giving their non-stop coverage. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/11417-wnbc-pushes-up-debut-of-5pm-newscast-to-829/#findComment-68045 Share on other sites
NYNews 54
Kind of sloppy with miscues. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/11417-wnbc-pushes-up-debut-of-5pm-newscast-to-829/#findComment-68051 Share on other sites
NYNews 54
Maybe they should also consider adding a formal newscast at 12pm, replacing the Rundown. WCAUTVNBC10 413
Maybe they should also consider adding a formal newscast at 12pm, replacing the Rundown. They haven't announced a midday newscast? They have to be the only NBC owned station that hasn't Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/11417-wnbc-pushes-up-debut-of-5pm-newscast-to-829/#findComment-68063 Share on other sites
nynewslover 277
I watched it today.. I kinda liked it.. Nothing to get excited over it seemed like a normal 5pm newscast.. My opinion on the anchor situation: They seem good together.. It's a new fresh team which might be good.. I like David Ushery but apparently he doesnt go over well with other viewers since he always gets moved.. Sue is most likely gonna retire with in a few years and she doesn't even do the 6:00 anymore so why would she want the 5:00? TVNewsLover 779
Yeah I've noticed she hasn't been on at 6, and when David filled in today, he said he was only in for Chuck. When did she stop anchoring at 6? I'm not a fan of the solo anchor at 6. TellyGenic 33
I think Sue stopped doing the 6 when she came back from her spinal/neck surgery earlier this year - when she returned, she only did the 11. Is Ushery's "The Debrief" still on the air anywhere? Either broadcast or cable? Every time I turn to the cable WNBC, it's Cat Greenleaf on the stoop... j.wer 12
Over the years WNBC has cut staff so many times..It has amazed me Cat has survived. 24994J 5577
That stoop show is just awful...it's on Chicago Nonstop ALL THE TIME! If they showed more than 5 episodes, it maybe would be more entertaining. Most of it programming is locally produced.
