NBC 5 Chicago 191 Posted February 14, 2012 Share Posted February 14, 2012 According to Feder, Stefan Holt will start Monday as new co-anchor of NBC 5 News Today. Holt replaces Rob Elgas who will shift to co-anchoring the 4:30pm news with Marion Brooks as well as report for the 10 pm news. In March Daniella Guzman will join Stefan Holt as co-anchor of NBC 5 News Today. Thoughts? Many criticized his hiring as another case of nepotism, but he really has proven himself; he handles himself so professionally that you forget that he's only 24. Best of luck to all. So could we be looking at a Monday graphics change, then? They could then have it coincide with the reassignments. Farr would have been a better choice.with Guzman, but what's done is done. Elgas has put in his time, so the move to afternoons/evenings makes sense. As far as weekend mornings, just about every reporter there gets to be a fill-in anchor, so it's tough to say just what their plans are.. I think that spot will still belong to Dick (Johnson) with Rob serving as number #3 (if you will). They haven't updated the bios yet, so things could change, but Dick is listed as the backup weeknight anchor. Those bios are so outdated, it's not even funny. They had Ginger, Zoraida and Paula's bios up for at least a month after each of them left...they still have Marion Brooks as 4:30 anchor only, and the noon news has been on for almost 6 months! I miss two anchors on the weekends. They haven't had that since Rob Stafford became primary anchor and Anna Devlantes left. And lets hope that they debut something on Monday but at this point I'm at the I'll believe it when I see it stage.
