It appears they will debut it this monday, also the 3NEWS logo does not have the ABC logo in it. It appears they will debut it this monday, also the 3NEWS logo does not have the ABC logo in it. That is scheduled to be the same day as KIDY/KXVA, unless they slide to the right as well. I believe he said once before that they are stuck with Worldnow until January 2016, at the earliest. Did anyone at Gannett ever think of googling their new name (and misspellings) and seeing what similar results might come up? From now on when I hear the name Tegna I will think of those sex toys. Tribune played it smart by keeping the same name for the publishing spinoff and the broadcasting/digital/real estate unit. Tegna sounds like oddly futuristic... in a more puzzling way than actually good. In this case, it looks like the company is spinning off the non-print business unlike other deals which spun off the print sides like Media General. It's not necessarily the fault of those firms - the clients just tend to blow a bunch of money on "why bother" or flat-out baffling solutions, picked from what is almost certainly all manner of better/more interesting ones. "Tegna" sounds like the name a scandal-ridden insurance company would adopt to me.
