The Rincon stations have been using the WHBQ Fox Memphis graphics. In another thread, some Sinclair —> Rincon station rebranded and used the same graphics.  When Imagicomm had KIEM in Eureka (now owned by Marquee), they used WHBQ weathercasters for a time and these graphics would pop up in those segments.

This is all KTUL is saying as of now but according to Emily who was laid off from KTUL they along with FOX23 will be more reporting based then anchoring this will start May 18th which means that’s all this week I believe FOX23 will simulcast on both 23 and 8 as they have done on weekends while training is going on this week.

This is right on par with what Sinclair does. Exact same thing was done in Providence at the beginning of the year when they took the ABC affiliation and replaced the traditional format with an automated, pre-taped and fragmented product, promoted under the same slogans (more people, more places, more stories).

Not to mention being woefully outdated when it comes to breaking news. The whole thing is treated as an afterthought, and understandably because as if field crews aren’t doing enough already. That’s what you can look forward to in Tulsa.

Let’s just say it’s just as bad as we knew it would be.  I really hate this I wish they’d go back to the traditional newscast and the News Channel 8 branding and logo.
