NewsMaster 226 Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 While Indy is abuzz about CBS moving from WISH to WTTV, it looks as if WTHR is getting a new set.
TennTV1983 807 Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Considering their last two sets were built by Devlin, I wouldn't be surprised if WTHR uses them again for this job too.
ColumbusNewsFan 217 Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 It also could be an FX group set like their Sister Station in Columbus, Just saying and throwing it out there.
DirtyHarry 727 Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 Considering their last two sets were built by Devlin, I wouldn't be surprised if WTHR uses them again for this job too. Their last set sucked. Not as good as the other Devlin sets. It also could be an FX group set like their Sister Station in Columbus, Just saying and throwing it out there. I hope not. Not a big fan of their sets. Devlin rocks, as far as I'm concerned.
who?cares 255 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 I found this picture on John Stehr's facebook. It looks Devlin?
MidwestTV 1244 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 I wonder if those windows are supposed to be windows or places for television monitors. Probably the latter. I wonder how that would look with them being spaced so far apart.
Devon 37 Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Just to chime in, according to a FB post at Newscaststudio.com the set is designed by Clickspring.

MidwestTV 1244 Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Interesting. Not a name you hear too often when it comes to local stations. I thought they were the primary designers for NBC O&Os.
who?cares 255 Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 It all depends on how much cash you have. Thr is loaded. They get what they want. Still no debut.
Breaking News 839 Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 It all depends on how much cash you have. Thr is loaded. They get what they want. Still no debut. True, but BNS in Columbus get carte blanche first, than THR follows suite. 1.1.2015 in Indy going to be something. WRTV 6 hopefully will move up in the ratings. WISH-TV going to have to be very news heavy, a new model is born. WTHR will stay the same, and CBS4/FOX59 can make it work.

Big Country News 435 Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 I feel they'll be using Tower v.6 with these new graphics Speaking of graphics, they don't look like LookF. Interested to see what they went with.
sanewsguy 514 Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 I feel they'll be using Tower v.6 with these new graphics So they're going to commission a new version of Tower? As for the graphics, ugh, they're keeping that ugly, dated, somewhat illegible font it seems like...
wxman2 0 Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Is it just me, or is it taking FOREVER for WTHR to debut their set??
Devon 37 Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Yes they are. They originally were targeting an October debut. For what it's worth, it might be in the next week or so. Large advertisements were being hung up this week at a mall in Indy that feature their updated logo.
wxman2 0 Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 They just switched to the new logo on their website....any day now hopefully
TexasTVNews 1378 Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 They just switched to the new logo on their website....any day now hopefully
IndyNewsGuy 14 Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Monday. A Source tells me that set will be ready before next weekend but not this weekend...aka Monday.
NewsMaster 226 Posted December 8, 2014 Author Posted December 8, 2014 Looks closer to WBNS' logo now IMO. (from their Twitter pages)
LorenKarr 18 Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Either there's too much box, or not enough 13. The 13 just kinda swims there.
Mrtraveler01 738 Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Looks like the weather graphics are starting to switch which means that it's coming fairly soon: http://ftpcontent.worldnow.com/wthr/webimages/WEB_ADI_NOW.JPG I get a CBC/CTV kind of vibe with those graphics.
who?cares 255 Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Chuck Lofton's morning Tweet's are still in the old look. Maybe tonight.
